Rained last evening for a an hour or so here in the Shires, saved me tap watering me beans anyway, but nowhere near enough to make up for the past few weeks. Should get first picking of runners this weekend, one of the few green things I actually enjoy eating, especially straight off the vines? plus it reminds me of me dad who used to grow them now and again (can't believe it's now 20 years since he left us). It might only be runners, but it proves that good things come to those that are prepared to wait for the fruition of their investment of time and money, as next year there'll be bean stalks laden with glod gunnets supported by tungsten canes held by copper rivets ;+))

One of my dog portfolio shares I offloaded in the hope that my gamble on KOOV would pay off, BHRD, crashed and burned (currently down 34% today) on a trading update, so did well to only lose what I did. However, as BHRD are still a new and developing company run by the ebullient Peter Scott, I still think they are one I may return to when funds allow.

Good morning all. Still cloudless blue skies over the Shires today, bit cooler though. Had to laugh when told on Tele not to use tap water on garden. My big water butt emptied ages ago and with no rain due for the foreseeable, the tap is my only source of water (no, grass or flowers, just beans and toms). Perhaps Bob could courier down a gallon or two of the NE's finest wet stuff to keep me going?

Troa, I'm retired, bored and sweating me nuts orf (and that's just sitting down). Can't find any sort of happy medium at the moment, like a sailing boat in the doldrums, just drifting along waiting for the wind to pick up.
On another point, reading Jaf/gold/funding debate, I'm sure part of the Blackrock loan included provision for the gold exploration as a condition of the deal? Perhaps someone learned might remember better than me. If that is the case, then Jaf saying the gold has to be funded by other means doesn't hold water!!

Ah Troa, that's the proper way to go about things, boring being the operative word in both senses. I feel my alternative system would get peeps more engaged with the project, a feeling of being in the game as it were, and us LTH's would of course be exempt from the €5 entry fee!!

Oh look, while i was posting, our 3m seller popped up, what a surprise!!

I was wondering how it's determined where to actually drill a hole in the search for glod, is it different to that other gold stuff i.e. geology, magnetic resonance, field walking, historical data etc, or is it done in a style akin to a lucky dip or even a game of battleships where people are asked to pick a sector on a grid reference chart superimposed over the site area for €5 a go, the winner being the one who's hole hits the best Au anomaly? I'm going for sector JY13.
