That the placing was before the updated reserves figure is published. Looks like either the BoD and pals want an even bigger share of the cake for themselves or the updated reserves may bot be as great as hoped for. If the BoD had any confidence in this project then they could have got a higher price further down the line.
Speaking as an ADV shareholder I doubt he could raise anything like enough to buy these assets with the share price at .19 of a penny. The market cap is only about £2m. I had 'punts' on CHAR, ADV and MATD. One win one loss and the jury is stiull out on MATD but I have halved my holding in anticipation of being thwarted by the Chinese.
I have today sold half my holding in Petro Matad temporarily to take advantage of another short term opportunity. What this means is that in the next couple of weeks Petro Matad will issue positive news which will take the share price beyond the level of cash that I will have once I am ready to re-buy my Petro Matad shares. That assessment is at least as scientific as most other analyses I have seen on this board.
3-5p more like in H2. If we don't get a rig our oil will be worth the same in H2 as it is now.
Not really today's news though as it was announced on 17th Jan.
I tend not to be optimistic and countless times the optimism of those around me is rewarded with some unexpected and usually bad news (Chariot many times over the years and Advance only 3 weeks ago) I'm going 3p.
When a man's got proven reserves
He can earn what he deserves
And yet my wallet could be big
Just because I'm presumin'
That this share price could be zoomin'
If we only had a rig
With MATD it's always the next thing that is going to see us take off. Currently I'd just like to see us get a rig as without that we ain't selling any oil
There don't seem to be be any other projects as yet do we have any cash left?
SY what value do you see in this RNS ? I wondered if the price rose on news of an RNS tomorrow and people thinking it might be rig news piled in yestterday. Then we get this.
Nel's message seems a long way from de-ramping to me. Just a sensible explanation as to why on no news the price shot up. It's either the oil price or we are on the verge of good news which has somehow leaked out. An underwhelming, nay pointless RNS today hasn't helped at all. The news we all want is that we have a rig - then things may begin to move . If it was news that leaked out and that news was there's going to be an RNS tomorrow then expect it to drop back substantially today. If it;s the oil price then it will still probably drop back as profit takers take their cash. Just give us the rig news and then we can all agree that it is good news!
Mike Buck said everything was dependent on getting a rig. Last year it was the exploitation licence. tbf my biggest fear is lack of co-operation by the Chinese. I mean they don't need to. Nonetheless hopefully we will get there, this is ticking up nicely at the moment and long may that continue.
If we can get a rig!
I couldn't remember who it was so no personal slight intended. The wait continues lets hope it's a worthwhile one!
Earlier this year somebody posted a bit of fun for us all to guestimate what the share price would be at the end of the year. My guess was 6p and in response to this somebody responded ' Why are you still here if you really thing that the price will only be 6p at the year end' First of all I accept that 1) There is still a day to go but I won't be able to post tomorrow and 2) I was wrong about 6 p as it does look like it's going to be 7p. However amongst all the 20p's 50p's and multiples of £1 my guess was a clear outlier. In response to that person I'd now say, This is Chariot and nothing seems to go smoothly for this company and I'd add that I have the same high hopes that everyone here does especially as my funds are much diminished since investing in 2009. I have added and now my average is just over 10p so I don't need much of a leap to break even. My main point though is to wish everybody a happy new year and hope that finally this most unlucky of companies does finally hit paydirt in 2022 although there have been many years when I hoped this since 2009. So here's to Chariot finally coming good in 2022 and making this Old (now ex) Hebriddean a happy and slighly better off man!
I think we all know that this is not going to be a duster in the conventional Chariot sense and that all the signs are positive. BUT the anxiety remains that this is the unluckiest company in the world. Hopefully we will all be able to laugh about that soon as opposed to cry.
Well when I say currently I'd overlooked the fact that this is Chariot!
The share price is higher than the open offer price so if you sell you make money. There is a small risk that this could change before you are able to sell the shares but this does not currently look likely.
Based on what? Remember it has been diluted twice so already that is about 20p!
Malcy doesn't add lot of value does he? And why does he give the football scores ?
