Each to his own but I'm not sure I think of The Sun as my go to source of scientific information. This is an old report from 9th April anyway. If we are nonetheless to have any confidence in what it says it is worth noting that in amongst it reports:
"the new strain has not yet been confirmed to be more deadly or more transmissible."
and
"The expert assured the vaccines remain effective"
I think for Brazil, and probably the world, it is Brazil's administration which is the worry as much as any new variant that pops up amongst the chaos. The article affirms that the way to avoid new variants in an outbreak is for countries to invoke lockdowns and speed up vaccination.
Well at least my eyes are OK. 75000 shares sold for £2m recorded at 17:12 having been reversed out earlier on.
And I swear some have now disappeared, including one at £2m.
Maybe I'd better leave off the G and stick to the T or get myself down to Specsavers :-)
A shed load of trades reported after market close and after the uncrossing trade. Some at prices seriously over the ask and some in serious volume. The share price on LSE is higher than the stated bid/ask. What's afoot?
Things continue to look good though. It was only three weeks ago that getting above 2300 was worthy of comment!
As a recent (February) therefore only yet a prospective LTH I'm happy so far, with growth in SP and dividends to look forward to as well.
I did enjoy the closing line:
Q from Katie: And what happens next?
A from Shishir: We make a lot of money!!
I've cribbed Bendis's phrase here. It managed to stay above the waterline for the day. Let's hope for more enthusiasm next week.
A very reassuring presentation. Clearly they see Covid as having had a big impact but they have confidently pursued strategies during the lull in business to prepare for return to activity. "Poised for growth", "Cash to see the company through to profitability" and "Orthopure as a game changer" all tell us where this is going.
Like The Old Bee I'd like to add my thanks to all for the technical input there! It puts the otherwise worrying £6M into perspective. Looking forward to this afternoon's presentation.
I think the presentation certainly put paid to the theories trotted out over the months by all the pseudo scientists here (BAMS is dead in the water, LFT won't work, AS missing deadlines etc). As for now being a bunch of academics who aren't wheeler dealers I think anyone should simply look at the web site and see the team structures and their backgrounds. I mention but two: David Wilson (25 years in business development) and Neil Bell (30 years in drug development). QED.
seemingly, after Wednesday's lacklustre showing. Back comfortably over 2400 again.
Haha!
Sadly I'm old enough to remember the original but I like the new version more!
"What's not to like?"
Nothing! A continuation of the solid positive approach being taken by TGR.
Great. Just wish I'd pitched for more in the IPO but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Quite,
I think "which we anticipate will be around the end of" expresses a hope but in reality could not be interpreted as commitment to a deadline.
Good strong start today takes us over 2400.
And we're still there to end the week. Let's hope this is a trend.
It all sounds confident and good. Let's look forward to the move reflecting beneficially in SP growth.
I think Fardistanthills has the nub of this. Providing this man can be spared from his scientific bench it is probably easier for him and better for the company for him to change tack inside the organisation that he knows as he is already up to speed. An outsider would need a period of finding his feet no matter how good a supply chain manager he might be. Avoiding that time lag could be critical.
