On the M and G site on the 17th February you said you had doubled your holdings!!

Hope I am wrong but I think you are deluding yourself if you think this share is going to rocket. There have been several interest rate reductions recently and they have not moved the share upwards, just made the yeild more attractive. My average now around £1.28 and at current figures I will break even in 3.5 years time. Holding for income, but some share price appreciation would be welcome. Don't think this share is good value for traders.

For long term holders this share has performed VERY poorly. I first purchased at £1.52, then £1.32, £1.28, £1.15 and recently at .95.5. These are all in my SIPP for income which has amounted to far less than my capital loss. Nothing actually lost until you sell but beware buying. I always thought they couldn't go lower but they have constantly. Oh for the days of £1.30.

Do we know when the share buyback will begin.

I cannot find any date, £1.2 billion should have a good effect on the share price if not already factored in.

RNS states that acquisition will produce more profit than share buybacks.

Well the market obviously doesn't think much of the purchase. Echos of Fred Goodwin expanding. Hope I am wrong but this could go lower fo a long time. £7 by rsults day out of the question now.

Wow what a drop. Those who got out at £7 are really sitting pretty, good profit to bank or now reinvest. I am LTH and my current position is over 50% down (even at £7) in my normal investment account. Will only sell if I make a large capital gain with my other shares. Owning this share is certainly a rocky road!!!

Final results showing as due on 26th February unless I am wrong.

Final results out 13 Feb and ex divi towards end of March, payment end of April so understand some people taking their gains. Last final dividend 15.5p hopefully more this time but 20p not guaranteed.

I have built up a substantial holding over the past few years, mainly in my pension for a good regular income. However my divis total far less than the loss on the value of my shares. I would have been better off leaving in cash. However I hope I shall never need the capital back and the divis help my standard of living. Still would like some movement upwards, I don't want to be holding this as a penny share!!!

Quite heavily invested here, seduced by the divi but the share price is worrying. Currently the share price is reducing. faster than the divis paid It must be sentiment as the divi is well covered and they are saving money on divis because of the share buyback. Hoping for a rerating sometime , but even when the base rate reduces(not this time) it doesn't appear to help... perhaps the next set of figures will.

Sold out at £5.80, good profit then, but had I waited I would have got more. I expected it to dive after the divi but it just kept growing. Cannot see it ever at levels I would be happy be buy now.... but who knows!!!

Any feedback from AGM

Just logged in after a long break, thought this was the Lloyds share chat....... then I remembered why I hadn't bothered with it for so long!!!!!

Despite rate being decreased and the dividend due this month the price continues to fall. I cannot see the divi being under threat, even with excess monies repurchasing shares. My average in 140s but happy with income, no intention to sell as bought for the income.

Sold all my holdings at approx 80% off peak. Got tempted so put in all my profit on the way down. You don't get it right every time,looking at £4.75 a share to break even. OUCH

Long way to go for me , but any advance welcome.

Showing you are human when you are doing your job is not wrong, misguided perhaps. ISA limit of £20k is for the rich only, how many normal people can do that, we are subbing them. I consider myself well off, decent capital and income and cannot get near to that.

Someone knows something, the results will reveal it. The increase in the share price despite a lot of selling by the corporates is puzzling unless you are in the know. Roll on the results.
