That seems like a big gamble for such a risk averse company. If the trailed failed and they left it too late they’re screwed. Maybe they just want a bigger piece of the pie, who knows.
I wonder if MSC are being as quiet with QED as QED are with us. Have they given any indication that the trial will go ahead? Or are they just stringing them along because QED tick some sustainability box…
If I don’t see any tangible progress this quarter I will be ending my support for this company
I, as just a random person, was never going to contact MSC. Was just floating the idea and have a pretty good understanding of the general sentiment! Thanks for the responses :)
Has anyone tried approaching MSC? Could be an interesting angle. Sounds like they’ve put us very low on the list, which is an odd thing to do considering the saving that could be made
They’re either working extremely hard on all these top secret projects that they can’t tell anyone about or they’re taking us all for mugs and have been for years. I think the later option is much less likely but currently what it feels like

It’s the closest thing we’ve had to news for a while. I don’t see why they couldn’t put out a LinkedIn post or something like that saying the test has started. Hopefully an RNS in the morning, probably nothing

Now clutching at straws but I can see a scenario where they allow QED to run tests at the weekend so the second fuel could possibly be trialed next Saturday (if it was our fuel being tested over the last 2 days)

According to some basic research I’ve done, it would take around 6hrs to drain and refuel. It will be interesting to see if the engine fires up again today or tomorrow and runs a similar cycle.
