I take no joy in saying this,but Putin is ruining Russia's present and it's future.

The economy is on the skids and he's now doing desperate deals, mainly with China to keep the show on the road.

While Putin is trying for a land grab in Ukraine,China now basically taking sovereignty in Russia's far east.

As we enter a lower interest period,the huge dividend payments give a good return.

Assuming current dividends continue,the SP should at least stabilise in the near term.

I worked out the other day my dividend income is around half my earned income, unfortunately I'm not a high earner!!😁

Have to be open to the fact that war may continue some time yet.

A JV would share the risk but could delay shareholder payout,but may be the best option.

I'm expecting downward pressure on SP today but that's what markets do, volatility helps trading volumes.

At 0.30% of metal resourced the sale is pretty irrelevant.

The optics don't look good but I'm sure the BOD have their reasons to proceed with WK sale.

I think CS is implying in not a particularly clear way that different sale rules apply to mining projects in the artic.

Hopefully we get some better understanding later.

It's possible a buyer is already lined up or the green light is given soon to the sinosteel deal.

There's a reasonable chance Putin will now be starting to understand his options are limited.

Recent medium term financial and strategic help from Europe coupled with large defensive measures at battle lines,make for real difficulties in any more land gains by Russia.

Internal pressures within Russia and economic failure are adding to Putin's current precarious situation.

Putin will have to soon change tack or the Kremlin will make him.

Many forces now not in Putin's control, hopefully peace comes before more desperate measures are enacted.

Hopefully,peace comes, stability then asset sale for Eurasia mining.

Personally ,more optimistic now following recent events.
