IParsnip, No I would be deluded if I thought 400p achievable in 12 Months. What I expect and confident in, is an improvement in line with what Finley, has done with Debs, Moreover, I am fully aware that the Govt has to do its bit, so the likes of bo, can trade on a level playing field.

I am confident that sense will prevail and Frasers will be rejected. And so confident with our new CEO, I purchased another 20k yesterday, so more power to my vote. I just believe we will be better served in the long run, without the interference and hostility of MA.

Mike Ashley, the founder of Sports Direct, promised to pay an investment banker £15m if he could double the clothing chain’s share price in three years, according to reports.

The Outcome:

Newcastle United owner and Sports Direct boss Mike Ashley has won a high court battle over a £15m deal allegedly made in a London pub, calling time on a case that will be long remembered for days of evidence concerning excessive alcohol consumption.

The case revolved around investment banker Jeffrey Blue’s allegation that during a “night of heavy drinking” at the Horse and Groom pub near Sports Direct’s Oxford Street store in January 2013, Ashley agreed to pay him £15m if the company’s shares doubled to £8.

However, on Wednesday, Mr Justice Leggatt, who had said he found the case was “a lot more interesting than some”, ruled that no one would have thought what Ashley said in the pub was “serious”.

“The Sports Direct senior management meetings certainly show that Mr Ashley is happy to combine discussion of business matters with the consumption of alcohol,” the judge said in his ruling. “But there is no evidence to suggest that Mr Ashley has ever negotiated or concluded a contract at one of these meetings.

GeordieWallace. Completely agree, the vid just shows the quality of boo. We don't need vitriolic attacks on individuals, just look at the history of the man we have as CEO, against Mr Ashley, it's a no brainer. And there is still time for other to change their vote, and vote against the proposals.

Bon-Scott. In response to your question about what my agenda is, I will tell you.

However, for you and others who have a few minutes, have a look at my posts. It's only recently that I have taken up the cudgel on behalf of boohoo. Yes I am invested in them, and have been for a number of years, and like many of us, I am in a negative position. However, I was in a negative position with holdings in Premier Food and PETS, and what they both had in common, is that they were heavily shorted. And you will get a feel for my view on shorting if you bother to read my posts. I haven't a problem with taking short positions on companies, however I do have issues, when a short position is taken and then purposely spread malicious news in articles and social media, in order to bring down the price of the share. You will see I have voiced this well before the boohoo situation.

Now getting back to my agenda. Firstly, is to try and bring some balance into the discussion, without vitriolic outbursts against individuals, sometimes threatening in my view. My view is, and the reason I invested in boo, was it is a very good business model. All was fine until world circumstances hit many companies, freight charges skyrocketed owing to oil prices. Then a number of TV and newspaper articles, some justifiable, but not balanced also impacted boo. However, the same could be said for companies run by MA, so let's not brush that under the carpet.

I see a great future for boo, that is as long as they are allowed to trade on level playing fields against our chinese competitors, I don't have to name them all. boo have proven to be way ahead when it comes to online platform, just look at what has been done with Debenhams.

Therefore I have voted against the proposals to install Frasers people, as I feel they don't bring anything to the table, other than a disrupting influence. I stuck with PETS and Premier Food, and laterly MOONPIG, both with good business models.

And second on my agenda, is to out, the short practices, that I feel should warrant a government review. Taking out a short and then paying for untruths to be disseminated. We all know who they are, but I couldn't possibly name them.

For all undecided, don't fall for some of vitriol that is spouted from some. Compare what has happened to other Companies, some were in a perilous situation, but the "Stay Calm and Carry On" ethos, managed to see them through difficult time. Don't be conned with the Big Mike will sort it all out brigade, he in my view, can't be trusted.

Bon-Scott, what I cannot understand is investors who do nothing but trash the company that they invested in, never seem to have a positive word to say. It always makes me wonder, are there ulterior motives behind their messages. Everyone has a right to their views, but let's keep it civil.

Southcoastbather, I thought you may have learnt your lesson when it comes to being vindictive about an individual. For what it's worth, circumstances impacted on some of the decisions made by the board, and those circumstances hit many good companies. I for one, have confidence that the current board will turn things around without any assistance from MA.

Ojogger I'll clarify for you - if I had joined a company and cost people billions of pounds then yes I would be looking over my shoulder for the rest of my life.

As posted previously, topped up again on the drop. Well managed company, at the high end in quality of their products, decent dividend, and moreover, prime for a merger or overseas buyer. This share is so undervalued.

Thanks for that info. And although I disagree with you, I respect it. I just hope down the line if MA gets in, you won't regret it, like so many others have in the past.
