I am sure you will get more sense out of those two gentlemen, maybe invite Mr Gordon, too. It may be worth looking at the various non execdirectors and the share performance on their watch. I suspect Corrie and Ahfeleldt have by far the worst record and from memory it may be a 97% fall from the peak for those two individuals. WTF do they bring to the table?? Dead wood (which ordinarily is what you need for a table, but not in this case).
What is remarkable is if you draw a line through the share price curve low points for the last 2 years it is a straight line with very high correlation. It is truly linear, indicating the rate of value decline on a % basis is accelerating. Extrapolated, this runs out to a 0p share price in 15 months if nothing changes. Our own Extinction Rebellion needs to kick in gear, because without action from the board we disappear in a puff of smoke mid 2021. Answers on a postcard please
Dear all, it is indeed a wake. 1mm sold today it looks like, but then that little lot is only worth £15k. Desperately disappointed in the BOD - I realise it is only a few days until payday for them, but when will they deliver a scrap of value for us? Somebody said production was down to 50 barrels or so. The whole lot of them need to go while there is still something to salvage. The great hopes of Oddie and O'whatsit have proved to be a mirage. They will probably only quit when the production gets too low to pay their salaries and try and find another bunch of suckers to drain dry.
The Greens have to be pragmatic to get any votes. Close the interconnectors and Ireland is back to heating homes with peat, eating boiled potatoes and riddled with scurvy. Nobody will vote for that!
It would have been nice to see an RNS that said, 'we are dropping this acreage, but look, here is something new and exciting to replace it'. However, this is EOG and dreams do not come true. Should we all just sell up and move on, is it really time to admit defeat? It certainly is starting to feel that way.
Let's hope it's Catholicism, we could with a miracle or two! Some wag is sure to say this is a buying opportunity!!!!
Only 18 months ago this share was around 5p. We are now at about 35% of that level, testament to the lack of performance of the executive and the lame duck non-executives. All but HM are still in post. These turkeys may not vote for xmas any time soon, so how low does this market cap have to go before they admit defeat?? We truly have no hope without wholesale changes. SO is now part of the established EOG malaise imho
And as we all know, he is not the Messiah, he is just another NED on the gravy train.... apologies to TJ
The board really has not done anything to diversify the portfolio because they are scared of making the wrong decision. WELL, IRELAND LOOKS LIKE THE WRONG DECISION! If you had other projects to fall back on, rather than Moroccan hot air, you could come back. As it is, with production keeping the lights on and Moroccoo probably a decade away from drilling, we are now on a death spiral and the board can't see it. Morons.
I am not at all surprised that the share price has not lifted. There are several reasons why oil and gas is not in favour and of course onshore uk is particularly vulnerable to climate terrorists. But deep down it must be quality and track record of management and points to why it is so critically important the board make the right decision, which probably means paying top dollar, for the new CEO ,and bloody quickly.
Lively this morning! Seemingly still on snooze down Porter Street, though. The Johnson-Cummings government does have an environmental tendency deep down. However, I think we can be pretty sure that nothing will happen based on what has transpired since July (ie brexit cliff edge pushed out to end 2020 and sweet f-all else) to stop onshore hydrocarbon production. There won't be any fraccing, but nodding donkeys should remain under the radar.
This is true - look at the last two sawtooth responses - peak then slow decline. Basically, without news this goes to sub-1.5p by end-April. Depressing really, because the likelihood of much news between now and then is questionable...
That's a cracker dream on! Like telling trump to grow up
The share price has climbed back 68% since 9 Dec. Anticipation is in the air. Don't disappoint!
Seems like business as usual
The rot continues unabated 1.65p.
Dreamon is full of horse manure. He has mentioned twice (at least) the 'wonder CEO'. If he/she cannot be named then what is the effing point, come on. There is no heavy hitting person with a high profile that will take this on. It needs a major life-changing deal. Hold on, though, Boris may not even be an MP in 10 days, so maybe that is our best hope for CEO - someone with an oven-ready deal or two. Hoorah!
You would think it is unlikely a new CEO will be in place by year-end. I wonder if the departure was as a result of his annual performance review. I can't imagine his KPI's looked too healthy!
He hasn't 'dedicated 8 years of his life' to EOG, it's just an office job the same as any other. He is a million quid better off and we have suffered immensely. I am sorry, no sympathy will come from this poster!
Yes, Dreamy, tell us pleeeease! Is it you? I hate speculation as you know. At least tell Mr. Oddie and demand a headhunter's fee.
