Of course, agreed, however I would certainly support a big placing that was for an acquisition, or a new venture, RTO or something similar that adds value. I think another £3mm placing to keep the lights on if the price spikes is what I fear most. Basically, I would like to see a proper strategy to add value, not yet more of the same!
Soon as the seller is cleared, they will have another placing, sure as night follows day.
Dear oh dear. I think the management should make a decision on whether they are getting the Irish farmout over the line any time soon and of not, close the office for 6 months to save some cash.
Tovoc, you hit the nail on the head with 5 years from discovery and still no commercial production. The Tories are supposedly the party of business (ha ha) and they are unwilling to help the industry undertake its lawful business - the greasy pole councillors continue to run the show with one eye on votes. The LibDems, for what it's worth, are yellow Green's and Labour would ban all oil and gas activity. So it WILL NOT GET BETTER and they should SELL THE LOT to concentrate on the Atlantic - but it is probably too late - who wants to pay good money for all that grief when you could probably buy 90 bls a day in texas and not have anybody get in your way.
Now the proud owner of UKOG shares. Thanks Govey!
Millionaire indeed - by my reckoning he has netted about £1.5mm in salary excluding pension and share options in the time he has been in charge and eroded shareholder value significantly over that period. Anyway, mustn't go on about it, just hope for a good rns soon. GLA
So, what do we all think? Is this make or break week? It feels like it. Let's hope my faith in the management is restored! Fingers crossed
Loser
You try and lighten the mood and all you get is rude offensive crap from the likes of Brezhnef. Pathetic.
Clearly there is no consensus on this Board as to the outcome of 'Project McKay'. Perhaps it is time for a series of indicative votes to determine whether the majority believe we are on the right track and should stick with the plan. I propose the following: 1. Seeking an extension of shareholder patience to enable the management to deliver on the deal, 2. Seek an EGM to change the management team or 3. Resign the whip and sell out (though for some strange procedural reason this requires the growing of two testicles). Or we just stay where we are and sod it.
Hi everyone. Everybody happy? Things moving along as advertised? Have we heard anything from the great leader? No???? Another month, another paycheck. Well, I've been told on here that shareholders can't do anything about the management, so if that is the case, wtf are we all doing holding shares here? To be honest, I know why - because we all think that one transformational announcement will be out at 7am tomorrow. We believe it is possible to create value here, so we hold on. We really do believe, deep down. But to be honest, how long should we wait before throwing in the towel? Then perhaps there will be a 7am announcement tomorrow..............................
It would be equally ludicrous to suggest the price could be going above 5p today, but it wouldn't provoke such a reaction. Not unlike the Govt we need realism. IMHO there are three options here - bringing a farminee over the line, takeout by a third party or withering on the vine. Morocco is a distraction. Seems therefore unscientifically like we have a 2 in 3 chance of making money, 1 in 3 of losing everything. With little guidance from Porter Street that is the best I can come up with.
Whilst aware that some will not appreciate this view, the price is showing under 3p before the opening this morning, completing this month's cycle of anticipation, excitement, despair. the management must go and a new broom installed. imho of course
This experience tells me that on the next spike, I am going to sell the effin' lot to save my sanity!
Dunders and I get criticised for being realistic on this board. I said a week ago the peak was over and so it has proved. Probably now on its way back to placing price level based on continued lack of delivery from the BOD. And by the way,
for the cynics among us, I do hold shares - if I didn't do you think I would be wasting my time even worrying about this penny share with its ineffective management??
I haven't actually traded in these shares for some time now, all I am doing is pointing out what happens here. It is in the numbers. I would love it to get to - pick a number - but without RESULTS FROM THE MANAGEMENT, it never will. Signing off now, leaving you to your hopes and dreams
After EOG hits 35p, I will be found on my own private island somewhere warm. Back in the real world, looks like the currnet spike has peaked. There are spikes in this share every 3-6 months when people think the promises must be close to delivery, only to be dashed. I hope this is not the case this time, but history suggests it might be. Come on Hugh, throw the market a meatier bone and prove me wrong
'simply requiring sign-off' - what planet are you on? 40p seems on the low side Ha ha ha - now that's very funny! Keep smoking man! Meanwhile, in the real world, 10p would be a fantastic result.
Bricky, it is only back at pre-placing levels, so I wouldn't say this is in any way a result so far, so in reality if you believe there will be a farm-in soon and lots of people looking in from the outside certainly do, you have time to get back in as Anthony says.
Selfish is being a little harsh - everybody's situation is different - people need to sell and others just get fed up to the back teeth of the endless unfulfilled promises - Holmwood, Wressle, Irish deal, endless pots of gold, 40p target price, etc. If Selfs had the right answers, he/she wouldn't bother posting on here!
After the devastating earthquake in Surrey last night that 'woke a few people up', I am very concerned we haven't heard from Swamps. I do hope he was wearing his tin hat and didn't get swallowed up by a sink hole never to be heard of again. Maybe he is just stuck in one of his gridlocked traffic jams in his gas guzzler.
