Kurdistan / W-Africa based Addax was taken over back in 2009 for roughly 7 Billion USD (approx. 4 Billion pounds). Yes, I know completely different ballgame: Drilling on land opposed to offshore, completely different geo political situation, much cheaper cost per barrel, different infrastructure, different geology, different reservoirs, etc. etc. etc. Does anyone recall what sort of total resource estimates were given for Addax at the time ? I read something about a total equivalent proved plus probable oil reserves of over 500 Million barrels being given in Dec 2008. Indeed I expect them to be at a much further stage than some might think they are. To pay this amount of money although peanuts for the majors is still a very good sign that they know what they're after, also following high financial scrutiny the last couple of years.

Bit of a quiet week really however keep in mind DEFENX has only what was it around 20 pct freefloat or so which is outstanding on AIM most stocks have between 50 and 70-80 pct freefloat or so... any good news will catapult the SP higher I expect news around the corner imo with updates on the 2020 strategy
