The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
I'll have an attempt at starting an honest thread with n bashing or ramping. Doubt it will last but one never knows.
It seems very clear now that the share price isn't going to recover unless and until serious revenue starts to flow. I think the market can cope with limited profits for a while as long as there is good and growing revenue. In the world before the tech correction a firm with promising tech products might get a silly valuation but times have change and, as I said in my webinar feedback, I'm certain that credibility took a big hit due to the wildly over-optimistic June 21 statement.
So the big question must be when will revenue start to flow. I can't see any realistic possibility of that until well into next year. The Acciona deal is essentially another trial and I don't see any of the others getting big orders before they do, if they do.
Any rational debate available?
There's a perfectly valid point in there about how the design for the Power Tower came about without apparently seeking input from the target market. I may need to watch the section abut the re-design to make the new unit look more like a traditional generator but if it is the finished article (for now) I can't help but wonder why it is for delivery to Acciona at some indeterminate point in the second half of the year rather than, say, tomorrow. Highly unlikely for substantial orders to flow until that has been on site for some months if delivery is at the back end of that timescale that sounds like no major orders until well into next year.
It doesn't say hire company commitments in that report. This is as close as it gets:
'New enquiries from plant hire businesses derived from their customer enquiries'.
Obviously that is a positive but it isn't what the sheep's bladder says is in there
What's to think? One is bog-standard post AGM stuff. It's no surprise that a recent senior recruit is getting some equity incentive and it's positive that there'll be a presentation. I imagine there'll be much fevered speculation about the likelihood of a game-changer of an RNS on the morning of that. You never know I guess.
