Stephan Bernstein, CEO of GreenRoc, details the PFS results for the new graphite processing plant. Watch the video here.
Hi Toyin. Sure. So we are waiting on the details (for more than 2 years) on the details of a licensing deal with Croda.
Now, say Skin want X amount. Croda think "no, too much, Y amount". If sales are string, it gives more leverage to Skin. iF sales are low, flat (or not significantly improving), if I were croda, i would say "well, you want X, but based on what? Look at your dismal sales. It will need our marketing muscle to increase, especially after a poor, I mean "soft" launch. That costs money. So its not worth currently what you are asking. We will offer Y. Take it or leave it? If you leave it, you don't have the resources or management skill to expand this product and penetrate, so it will just wither. Best to take our smaller offer but see the actual pie increase"
No? Dont agree? To put it simply, stronger sales and launch would put skin into a stronger bargaining position. Their position is now weak with Croda.
Just done some reading. Their CEO SOH. And people now upset and disappointed at massive losses... saying it's due to "missed targets" and SOH "not understanding marketing and launching"....
Hmmm..... sales ddint pick up for opti...
Above sound familiar to anyone... as these companies are heavily connected, not surprising similar sounding systemic failures.... lack of marketing understanding, poor launch plan, lack of sales or a plan to increase sales if sales are disappointing... pivot and talk about "we are b-to-b" and "we launched 12 months early". Erm ... those are not the points
Just take a look at the chronic decline in opti share price....pretty sure elrico used to be positive about opti too ....
now 12p. Wow. I remember reading when it went below £1 and then when went below 50p and then 40p. People kept saying "now we have turned the corner" "now this is good news" etc etc....
i wonder why that company has failed so much? with a similar tech and positioning. Dismal sales too....
I fear for the future... people kept saying "great things lie ahead". Ok. Now just above 10p. Reasons?
Erm... from the below, it appears you agree with me lol
Oh apart from one point. Sorry didnt include the communication - - you are right. This is good. I forgort to include the "interviews" with elrico and proactive. yep, you know. Not paid for advertising at all. Jesus. Give me strength.
Oh, and also didnt include the fish and chip supper and beer chats. I'll give you the communication one. Fair enough. Who needs a RNS lol
Wow. Toyin "sales were missed because of no distribution deals". Oh, so they chose to miss targets? Lol. And the targets were not before the extremely poor results, linked to distribution deals. And then you agree that sales are not significantly increasing. so if i was croda and still wanted this, i would say "reduce your cist by X % amount or we wont buy and we will leave your product to wither and die just like opti". Tell me why they wouldnt negotiate with that tactic to geta better deal for them and poorer deal for shareholders?
Good grief... why are you guys so blind and so biased. SA has done a poor job as ceo up until now.
Really Toyin?
1. The fact that he missed his own targets. His own - not the markets by 98%
2. The fact that there has been no significant increase in sales
3. The fact the results were delayed as the new CFO couldnt do it in time. Wow. Juts like Mirs Miggins Fish and Chip shop "oh sorry dearie, couldnt get the financial results in time, I.m new and had some fish to cook". I mean... amateur hour... and the market agrees with the share price falling 50% in a month - already a fraction of its peak
4. No marketing spend - and bragging about that. Ok. No marketing spend. No revenue. Is that a company? Revenue of £31k?????? Thats not even a salary
5. No social media / digital staff - great plan. To go with no marketing spend
6. poor communication ... dont tell me... Croda is next Christmas? Right? Just like last Xmas and the year before lol
Laughable. And those are just off top of my head. Any others from others??
I have just voted for the AGM and EGM. I have voted against SA to be kept as CEO. It has been a woeful and very amateur performance and launch. And no clear plans for the future. I really dont count "beers and Xmas dinner" with elrico as a plan and communication. Jesus. This is meant to be a multimillion company not Stuarts fish and chip shop and Monday night curry club. Apalling. Amateur. Just sad I cant get out because of the crashed SP and hoping the product saves us. Stuarts leadership and CEO ship and guidance / plans have been so badly wrong... how can anyone say otherwise? if it goes well form here its because of the product not stuart.
what a lousy offer after nearly 3 years holding...collapsed share price and an "offer" kf buying more to clients at 16p.... when i can just buy normally at 16p lol .... what an incentive....
Seriously, is this it? what poor company leadership, launch expertise and marketing abilities....let's just hope the product is good over the long term.... the BRIGHT study was ok, not great.
erm.... the launch has already not been a success. Cant you see that?let alone the highs, the share price is down 50% in the last month.
That tells you the whol launch and management of the company is not deemed a success at the moment.
Come up and smell the coffee.... does anyone still actually believe the launch was a success lol. Th eusual line is "well, we never were a b-to-c company but b-to-b". erm, ok... great. lol. And then "guys, next Xmas, Croda.... its happening" lol
thanks, this would be appreciated
No formal update since August... and the share price is tanking.
Any chance of a curry and pint update from a manchester meeting? Those are always great, arent they? Jesus.
So poor and amateurish. What a disappointing investment and what a shambles
1. Have we now abandoned doing business to consumer selling? Just a question. This is not the main revenue generator now?
2. In that case what is happening with croda and business to business
3. Sales have not significantly improved
Share price is again tanking on no news, no significant increase in sales and lack of a clear plan or comms from the company and now worries over its cash reserves / need to raise cash.
Can someone tell me the positives here / next plan in development? What is the status with the acne formulation that people were ramping up? What is the positive in terms of "hey guys, buy now, great times ahead", can someone give some clarity on this?
1. Any reason why shareprice almost 50% down from start of Nov?
2. Any update on CRoda B-2-B??? Will it now be this Xmas? (lol)
3. Any update on the sales? (lol... how is that £1.2mill going?). Oh, whats that? it's no longer a target, but we have 85% retention. 85% retention of v small numbers is meaningless
4. GREAT TIME TO BUY.... get in now!! Bargain!!! Just look at the long-term share price of optibiotix. That has been a BARGAIN and great time to buy for years now.... lets hope the same bargain here for that long :)
i really dont think nordstrom or ukraine affect the share price of sbtx lol. I think it's more the almost 0 sales.
Toyin - great email. Thanks.
Elrico - are you serious? USA sabotage of pipeline? If that is your level of analysis..... then jesus. Your newsletter must be awful I hope i have misread your post and you are not saying the West sabotaged the pipeline for duplicitous purposes... if you did mean that, you are a moron
Im at a bit of a loss with this share. Not worth me seeling out at this price... but....
Why would Croda do a partnershipdeal on a product with such poor sales (even f it was never meant to be business to consumer). They must look at that and think "if we want it, we can get it cheap, or it will jus die as the small company can afford to market it"
Where is the update on the "4 pillars" and "de-risk" for the product? What is next? Ditching selling i to consumers now directly..... where is the acne update...... where is the Croda deal update I( i remember this was anticipated for last Xmas!).
Can someone tell me the positives / plan for this business?
So far the only tangible thing is they didnt spend on marketing and then missed their target by more than 95% and then "dont worry we have influencers" and then "oh no, we will change and wont sell direct to consumers".
It just feels a mess and no direction and the market agrees with tanking share price
increase in share volume an dthen massive dip.... that says to me people have learned that the drilling has been delayed until 2023. But is it worth me selling now? If drilling delayed than will only go to 5p or so :(
£75k in sales???? jesus. I remember being mocked when i said that we would miss the target by about 80%. Said i was a troll/pessimistic. So much good news to come.....
Turns out i was being overly positive. SBTX missed the sales target by almost 95%. That is atrocious. Either very bad / poor forecasting of the potential or extremely ppor implementation of sales strategy. And yet we keep being told "low cost on marketing spend". ERm okay, and that has led to no bloody sales. So what is the point?
Most other CEOs who miss their target by 95% would have been sacked.
And the Croda deal still "positive" after almost 2 years.
What a disappointing share and company
This is very positive. Good news. 80% complete audit and sounding positive and the repairs being fixed. The only slight thing i note is their is no definitive statement taht the Phase 2 drilling programme will be this year... it implies it.. but not stated like in May update. It says "as planned" which leaves some wriggle room. So my take is there is a slight doubt now and may be after the November rains..... but that He1 are still expecting Phase 2 drilling thus year but not explicitly saying that.
But it is a good update
erm, all of this demand for helium is pointless for this share. It depends on:
1. drill beung audited
2. Actual drill being done
3. helium / commercial helium being found
Thats it. So what if gold demand goes high if you have no gold?! We need updated on the drill/audit/start date. Last update was may. It is now August...... come on...
Share price on steady decline. We need a positive RNS in July... saying the rig has been assessed and all good and that the 2D seismic analysis has identified some shallower mine possibilities, as well as re-drilling at Tai for Tai-3.... if all that is said, I can see this back at 15-20p before drilling results....
What do others think? But i am so nervous at this steady downward trend
Great interview. Honestly. However, what i said before listening to it seems to be borne out.....So SA does not have a masive marketing budget (as compared with smith and nephew). So seems to me the company is between the two stools of B2B and B2C..... as SA says the budget for a successful B2C is massive - he doenst have that. An important focus is B2B deals...
So..... im afraid, that that will keep the SP down until new revenue figures and deals are announced as the market priced in consumer level of revenues. From the interview =, SA himself is admitting B2C is not the main focus of teh company and dont have the budget to do that. So as i said, better to be bought by a company who can do a consumer marketing campaign
