IGas believes it has found a site in Surrey that could produce hundreds of millions of barrels and it has asked the county council for a licence to prove it. The company added that if the councillors give the project the green light then drilling could take place by 2020.
The firm said: "We are bringing forward up to two exploration wells and production tests with the potential to unlock significant recoverable resources at a new site". This was enough to set brokers' pulses racing and shares rose 1.7p, or 3%, to 58.2p. Scribblers at Canaccord even slapped a 200p price target on the stock, believing that if the project is successful it could double the company's size.
Canaccord's Charlie Sharp said: "Signs are Surrey County Council will give the project the go-ahead as it's not fracking and the site isn't on an area of outstanding natural beauty ...".

Note that IGas's market cap (£69m) is not dissimilar to UKOG's (£59.2m) and that, in the event of success, Canaccord is, effectively, targeting a quadrupling of the share price.

JTP's holding is of 4.27% at 29/05/19, ie about 23m shares (information per their website).

On the contrary, it has just recently paid off debt and raised new equity, so how do you quantify the losses suffered, if the share price subsequently recovers?
