I think the wording in the summary of the RNS is misleading. Further down the RNS it is clear (to me) that the total estimated capital costs are $168m, with the estimated proceeds of $60m from the stockpiles going towards these costs.

So, why do companies do share consolidations? Generally, there is greater interest in a company’s shares post-consolidation. This may be partly psychological; a company may feel more solid if it has a share price say above $10 (which is crazy really). And some institutional investors may even have a mandate to invest only in shares above a particular price point (also a crazy decision point as to whether to invest in a company!).

It should be easy to see who has claims over what from the above links - the action is taking place at the bottom of Greenland, near the town of Narsaq.

@news the broker note you refer to made the rather unfortunate mistake of thinking we owned 30% of all of the areas to be mined when in fact we only own 30% of some of them:

and those JV's come later in the mining plan. So perhaps a more reasonable measure of value to KDNC based on Yangibana's market cap might be to discount it to somewhere in the region of 5% IMHO.

Indeed @Time2Buy, feels like a bargain to me at the moment. Personally I'd be buying all the way up to 0.07p - the price the CLN's can be converted at if I hadn't already reached my target number of shares. Got to be disciplined in these matters I've found from past experience, it is a gamble after all, hopefully one with a very decent pay out should JG come good for us!

Indeed @Ivybush - it appears we saw a better short term prospect for (diversified) cashflow in Amapa. I presume there are many an eye on iron ore spot and forecasts for end of year and 2020 when we hopefully start to ship. Even though the price has retreated from the highs of the past few months in recent weeks, I'm comforted it's around that of when the HoT were signed and considerably higher than when discussions began.

@degsie, IIRC in one of WH Ireland's coverage reports a few years back they estimated our Greenland licence to be worth 20% of GGG's market cap. Sadly the market disagreed then and continues to do so. I patiently await news on that front - see REM and KDNC.PL boards for discussion, mainly by @news. Confirmation of the licence extended for another 5 years would be a start.
