Borgie, usually the agreement comes with upfront payment and this is why VAL business model has been design.
They will not take the compound to PIII. They will licence to someone and will get the money to cover all costs that was spend to develop the compound. (that was I understood about Business Model in VAL)
May be this upfront payment will not be really big as we expect, but they will pay some and we VAL & Shareholders will get 50% or 55% of the value from the agreement.
Why try to twist all agreements that we see - saw in past. Look at SAREUM - (Sep 2016 agreement with Sierra Oncology) they are using the same business model
