AZD1656 - Ready for stage III and NCT05216172 results ?30 Aug 2023 15:16
Not long until the 7th September.
"The promising results from this trial indicate that AZD1656, a simple oral tablet, has the potential to become a new treatment for COVID-19 – independent of viral mutations – initiating a new wave of therapies for clinicians in meeting this global challenge.”
AZD1656 - also currently under clinical investigation for renal transplant rejection in the UK. The study started 1st January 2020 and the anticipated study completion date was 1st August 2023. (The date on which the last participant in a clinical study was examined or received an intervention/treatment to collect final data for the primary outcome measures, secondary outcome measures, and adverse events (that is, the last participant's last visit)
If complete then look out for news from Principal Investigator: Kieran McCafferty, M.B., B.Chir, Barts Health NHS Trust; Queen Mary University London, in collaboration with AstraZeneca. Keep and eye on NCT05216172 results tab.
If there are positive results following this extensive trial, aside from the Covid 19 application, how excited will US investors be when Conduit pharmaceuticals lists on the NASDAQ with AZD1656 potentially moving to stage III study and commercialisation.
Makes the timing of the NASDAQ listing interesting in my view. Especially if there is a "partner" or even a "buyer" for AZD1656.
"SGSC is actively engaged in commercial discussions with appropriate global and regional pharmaceutical companies, with the objective of outright sale, partnership in future development or securing funding for the additional clinical studies necessary to get this to market. Ideally AZD1656 would be evaluated in broader non-diabetic patient populations, both hospitalised patients and those at higher risk of hospitalisation due to underlying health conditions. Despite the unknowns around the evolution of the pandemic, SGSC believes that AZD1656 has the potential to generate significant long-term revenue."
Be interesting to see the Conduit share price on listing especially with positive news in the pipeline regarding Renal transplant, Kidney transplant patients with Type 2 diabetes.
If that share price rises and CIZ exercise the put Option to receive £3.25M of shares in Conduit at an issue price of $10 per share what's the likelihood CIZ share price rises accordingly.
