Journalists write what sells and the vaccine sells big time here at the moment for obvious reasons. Remember, this country is way ahead of many others in terms of managing (or at least trying) transmission. Yes a vaccine is on the way and yes we are getting it first. We are one of the most developed countries in the world, don't just compare us to other EU states. I'm not expecting anything massive (and I'm referring back to a very intelligent post about orders) until post 20th Jan but with some good data in place by then I believe the Americans will come knocking.

I would imagine, if this explodes in the US as I suspect, the Americans will get a decent deal, especially if US partnerships can assist with production (ie pharma buyout).
