To get shareholders to agree to a sale, usually a premium is offered. The share price significantly undervalues the company.

Brexit context looks more promising; oil price goimg through the floor; Sterling on the up; HSBC buy recommendation citing undervaluing of assets; healthy cash flow - market cap 20m. This is virtually being sold for nothing!!!

Fully agree - this is 25-30p easily. It's even a steal at that. Would Flybe shareholders even agree to that pitiful price? I would be hard pushed myself.

You are a complete laugh! They have adequate cash flow - look at last accounts. They can certainly continue trading for the foreseeable future.

but I at the moment will be holding. 9% dividend and good cash flow is good. The losses were almost all linked to asset and impairmenrt.

The dividend is maintained and cash flow is better than expected. Fair few positives.

across my portfolio.... that's pretty bad for a month. Vodafone my worst performer... but all almost equally as bad. I certainly know how to pick them!

If they reduce the dividend and it comes as a surprise to the market all £60k of my shares will be sold within seconds of that annoucement. I, as an investor, have based some of that decision to buy those shares on the signals provided by vodafone managment on more than one occasion. If they release a separate statement explaining rationale for cutting dividend, I might reconsider. I do think they have enough cash to pay dividends - its the timing of the payment and the additional revenue from new acquisitions that could really help. lets see.

"Vodafone reconfirms its intention to grow the dividend per share annually, which is further supported by the expected accretion to FCF per share from the Transaction." It's pretty clear that this is what they intend to do when they did their sums before making a bid. I am taking them at their word.

a game of poker. To know what the latest quarter results are, you have got to play your hand. I've come this far, I want to see the results. After that, unlike poker, the share price should recover regardless of the negative/positive impact on the day.

OFAH. I feel your pain mate. My portfolio has performed awful - with the FTSE going up c. 2% in last few weeks, my portfolio is down 3% and they say to spread the risk. I have 8 shares and 7 are down today, some quite substantially. BUT - this is about the long-term and I don't see anything entirely negative in Vodafone investing borrowed money to keep up with the pace of change in the market. This share will recover!!!!

If we follow your logic - surely both stocks would be down by the same percentage in the last week. Ironically Vod on London stock exchange us down 5.5% in last week whilst on Nasdaq its down just under 3% So on your poor logic, Vodafone would have to rise over 2% just to fall the same amount. Your something else.

Not just for Vodafone but across my portfolio. Until we see something concrete from Vodafone, its hardly worth looking at the share price.
