Odey are playing with fire with a rack of companies. This share price is armageddon ready. 3p is about 10p undervalued.

£2.60 is an absolute disgrace. Do I think this will open up - if logic and intellect dictate - yes. It's fallen 60% this last 7 months - profits are down by 15% - make up your own mind. Vastly oversold!

I had a look back at the last set of annual results. Letter revenue down 4% and parcel revenue up 4%. The share price was in or around £6.00. This update - parcel revenue up 6% and letter revenue down 6%. Share price £2.60 - 60% drop. There is absolutely no justification for this drop!!!!

Wkworld - you see troughseekers stop loss was triggered at £2.50... this really is a complete overreaction. Sales up 2% - profit at least £500,000,000 and £100 to come through for sale of land. I thought the share price would have risen to £3.10 at least. Shortsellers obviously making a fortune on others fortune.

The other thing I found odd was the narrowing of the profit band. They didn't need to do that - as the minimum remained the same and at the moment whether they achieve it or not is down to unknown trading in the fourth quarter.

Redceo - they were meant to hold the capitals market day in March and now postponed until after year end results. What are they playing at?

Charlie - not bothered. A bad day doesn't change my mind about the long-term potential of this company. It's been around since the 1500's and it does have a positive future. What's one day in over 500 years?

Charlie - re-read the RNS. The letter volume reduction is taken for granted as a given - revenue decline was 6% - parcel revenue increase 6% - overall neutral. Sales are up 2% and the £100 million efficiency savings restated. We knew all of this yesterday before the RNS and last week and last month. We only didn't know that parcel volume was 10% higher. So, I really don't think there is a jusitifcation for a 1% share price drop let alone a 10% drop.

They stated that Letter revenue was down 8% - which is incorrect. It's down 6% and parcel revenue is up 6%. And sales are up 2%. And parcel volumes were up 10% over Christmas. Wish they would get their facts right! Parcel revenue offset letter revenue decline entirely.

How smart is that. Is Rico a smart person? I don't think so. Only the thing is that the RNS was a lot more positive than I had expected, that is why I didn't sell any shares.

share price 5 times earnings; dividend held; parcel revenues up 10%; plots of land selling for millions per acre. And it drops based on known information. In fact I was really pleased with this RNS and I am not saying that because I am a holder.
