NEVADA
- National Governor’s Association, Roadmap to Recovery
In Nevada, the statewide social distancing measures set forth below were implemented through directives
and state-issued guidelines in the weeks following the Governor issuing the Emergency Order on
March 12. Collectively, these strict guidelines represent the social distancing measures that Nevadans
followed to effectively reduced the transmission of COVID-19 throughout our state.
Without the willingness of individuals in Nevada to
accept personal responsibility and follow the social
distancing measures, the number of cases and
deaths in Nevada would have been much higher in
March and April. As the state and counties gradually
open businesses and public life, and people who
have been sheltering for weeks increase their
interaction, it is absolutely essential for Nevadans to
continue to follow the social distancing measures.
Again, the virus remains among us, and people
infected with the virus will spread it to others when
strong social distancing measures are not in use.
The current Nevada statewide social distancing measures for COVID-19 are expected to continue into
Phase 1 and will be subject to review as the State transitions into future phases. These measures include
the following:

• Keep at least six feet between yourself and others, whenever possible.
• Work from home, if possible.
• Avoid all nonessential travel.
• Avoid all nonessential social interactions.
• No gatherings of 10 or more people.
• Vulnerable populations (including older residents and those with underlying
immunocompromising conditions):
• Should remain home until the outbreak has subsided.
• Travel advisories remain in place, including:
• Travelers are urged to self-quarantine and monitor their health for 14 days or the
duration of their stay.

Older article but interesting stuff..
SUSTAINING A BOOM
In the current boom, Nevada's gold production has totaled almost 200 million ounces, according to the Nevada mineral industry report, which calculated results from 1965 to 2016.
Those ounces are more than were produced in any other gold rush, the report continues: The California Gold Rush, 1849-1859, had an estimated 29-70 million ounces, while the Comstock era, 1860-1875, had an estimated 34 million ounces.
A major difference is the length of the current boom compared to previous periods of production.
"Gold camps throughout history peak," Muntean said, "and then they tail off, and there is a long steady decline."
Although the state's total gold production in 2017 increased by 3 percent, experts acknowledge that operators of aging mines and explorers must continue to adapt to stay viable.
"We're a mature mining district," said Eric Saderholm, president of gold exploration company American Pacific Mining. He previously served as Newmont Mining Corp.'s exploration manager for the Western U.S. "There comes a time when you do stress the limits."
Technological advances are partly to credit for Nevada mines' sustainability. Developing techniques such open-pit mining, heap leaching and extracting gold with cyanide rather than mercury helped to make operations more efficient. Further advances through digitization and automation could help production to continue at mature mines.
"Clearly the impact of technology is going to continue as the use of batteries and other types of engineering production and storage will have a great effect on what happens in Nevada mines," Bennett said.
Breakthroughs yet unknown could make other gold resources — such as deeper deposits, waste piles or stockpiles — more accessible or economically viable, just like the discovery of microscopic gold on the Carlin Trend more than 50 years ago paved the way for the current boom.
"This is not a historical artifact that never changes," Bennett said. Continuous mining operations "advance the industry and apply across other industries, as well."

Sorry to jump on you Oaber - just dropped in..
What do you think of the RLD "target".
I hold recently have been accumalating small amounts of GWMO - (hopefully not x ramping or whatever that means) - but they have been through some pain (the GWMO LTH) - and now seeing some life in the share due to gold prices / silver and copper - so for me RLD RNS was exciting.
Understand if annoying - Happy to go away.

Apologies missed a bit
Since the 4th June placing was confirmed, AVCT has ;
1. Achieved a working prototype for its BAMS test
2. Achieved a working prototype for its LFT
3. Has delivered independent proof that its neutralising Affimers work
4. Signed an additional Affimer agreement with Integumen
In addition, CEO Dr Smith has delivered 2 investors presentations, an investor interview and most importantly yet another video designed to educate and inform investors, on the next stage of development for the LFT.
Furthermore, David Wilson, AVCTs head of diagostics, has had an article published in the July issue of EBR, which explains the reasoning behind the two pronged attack on testing, from AVCT and remains relevant at that later stage. That being during the optimisation and evaluation phases of both tests.
In my humble opinion, there is no justification whatsoever for turning all that hard work into a criticism of AVCTs efforts.
Most importantly, the diagnostic test performance video could not be more clear in its message.
Released the day before Cytiva delivered a working prototype with laboratory performance data, it clearly stated AVCT's own "minimum hurdles for a rapid antigen test for use in the general population" being "sensitivity >90% and specificity >95%"
There was no need whatsoever for AVCT to produce that video and certainly no demand for them to state that minimum requirement. The placement was done and dusted 3 weeks prior to this.
In my opinion, it is absolutely clear that AVCT would only release that video and state such a minimum position, if the prototype laboratory performance supported it.
In every investment doubt can always be justified. Some crazy outcomes can occur when we least expect it. So an argument can be made that Dr Smith and his team are stretching the truth or getting carried away with what is possible but it is most likely the opposite of that. That the prototype is already hitting that minimum mark or better and that AVCT truly are ;
"aiming to have the highest possible test performance" and it is a level well above their own minimum hurdles.
This is further compounded by the fact that on the "Antigen test development pathway" AVCT says very clearly ;
"A number of processes, such as. . . manufacturing scale up, will be run in parallel with clinical validation"
Will be not can be or if test performance is adequate enough to meet the minimum standard etc etc.
He is stating will be the day before the prototype laboratory test data is announced to the market, whilst making it clear that SENS >90%/SPEC > 95% is the minimum hurdle.
Its abundantly clear to me why these messages are being delivered to those very same investors who some think are supposedly sidelined.
I have been investing for many years and the way AVCT has managed the education of its shareholders, through what is a true one off experience, is to be commended not criticised.
Not my post BBN - many thanks - just to save time .. (BigBiteNow)

Just a NUMPTY idea.
There are a lot of really good people here (I'm amazed to see some OLD SKOOL LTH'ers come back recently and seemingly enjoying the "new" GWMO - albeit with some sad loss stories and stranded up at higher holding levels.

Afternoon All
I posted a while back I hold (held?) RLD shares and they have identified a Gold project to do an RTO - shares now suspended.
Just to back up Trades posts identifying that Gold is obviously hot right now etc and GWMO needs news / PR.
RLD RTO - (if it of course happens )was a risky investment but was glad to see a Gold target RNS and will interesting to see what comes of it (Zero or hero).
Nano-cap - like that term.
