Do we still need a ceo based in Australia?
LCCM has been written down in the company accounts and there seems little hope of any deal emerging this year to get it up and running. Is it a write off?
Cobre is delivering profits but, will any of this new income be directed at Redmoor? Who knows!
Redmoor is making progress but, like LCCM, it also requires funding . A grant has been applied for but again, as I understand it, requires matched funding and maybe a jv.
Our bod's JP, AB and PW. Of these, I personally, can only praise PW for the progress made so far at Redmoor. Including the lease agreement awarded by the Dutchy of Cornwall.
AB has of course stepped down.
SML is a London listed stock. Of the two mining projects, only Redmoor is currently showing any signs of life. So, why do we need a ceo on the other side of the planet? Maybe JP is working hard and doing great things. I don't know.
If there's no future for sml in Australia then why have a ceo based there? It doesn't seem right or economic to have the ceo based in Oz.
I don't want to stir things up but, I'd like to see a change at the top by year end. Unless, that is, JP cracks a fantastic deal for LCCM.
Maybe I'm being unfair. What does everyone else think?
