Our big headache is this Hong Kong based hedge fund which is short selling this stock on an industrial scale. Don’t be surprised if their scouts are blanket bombing this discussion board later today and tomorrow. There is a trend. The Chinese have no morals whatsoever and unfortunately the Chinese Communist Party has now got its tentacles into Hong Kong.
Chuffchuff -It is definitely time in the market because any rerate upwards will be humongous and life changing. I have been caught out previously. You panic to try and purchase shares when the price is on an upward trajectory and you receive a message that the trade can not be executed. Depressing.
Remember those who are not invested in this company should a favourable RNS be issued the GGP share price could immediately be significantly rerated. Seen it many times before. The other danger is that shares could be in very short supply at that time and worse than that the MMs may not let you in. Seen that previously as well. Because of this significance it is definitely time in the market for me.
Bridgedog - 45 Km is an average commute in the UK. It is minimal. In addition, our roads are congested, the traffic on this road will be insignificant. However, if this is a game changer for yourself switch to less risky investments. We are not in a prison.
I am not a shareholder in the De Grey mining company so their operations are of no concern to me. Yet another diversionary tactic in an attempt to get into GGP Investors heads and panic them to sell. Well know short seller methodology. Seen it all before.
Well done Magic. I can appreciate what you experienced. My D.Phil (Chemistry) viva was a long time ago now. It was a tense difficult interview but I successfully got through it. I knew a few candidates who fell short during the interview. Additionally, a significant proportion never finished their post graduate work.
The reason the Chinese Hedge Funds are shorting UK companies is because their activities in China have been curtailed by the Chinese government. I would like to see short selling banned in the UK but doubt it will occur.
When I watched the event yesterday and had time to reflect on the discussions the lower Aquifer stood out as a protracted and unresolved matter. My view is that Newmont took the foot of the gas knowing back in October they were going to divest this asset. I agree with the other contributor concerning the demand for rectification of this matter before purchase.
The scum is rising to the top today. If they are carpet bombing this share discussion site today desperation must be setting in.
The hedge funds will know when to close their shorts, the retail short sellers historically linger and are cremated. Seen it all before.
Aqua Kidd - so you are an expert on the financial management of mining companies. I would attend the meeting and hand over your CV to Shaun. You would be a valuable addition to the Board. In reality you don’t know what you know because you don’t know
I see there are a few foot stampers this morning. These are the people who hang around business premises and annoy the f..king hell out of their owners. Yes they may I purchased products in the past but now they have no intention of buying and just offer unwanted advice.
