Aim999 - since when did a short seller (or representative there of) become my financial advisor. You won’t give impartial advice. If you are so confident that this company is going to the wall why do you need to keep on posting, unless you are paid to do so.
Totally agree JerseyCrew. The short seller sewer rats who linger around these chat sites tend to be personally abusive.
Paddy, Hydrogen and Bamps are a great source of intelligence.
This site is significantly calmer than the ADFVN chat board which is a rat infested swamp.
Chartarex - Fully agree with your synopsis. Newmont will obtain sufficient monies and more from the sale of their 6 Tier 2 mines. Anything else is a bonus. The ongoing costs just to service the loss making Telfer will force their hand to sell their 70 percent share of Havieron. Both these assets are inextricably linked.
Over on the ADVFN chat site Hydrogen has stated that executives from NST and GGP have together visited Telfer. He suggested that both companies could establish a JV for the buyout and management of Telfer/Havieron. Interesting.
The Aquifer is not an issue, it will be overcome in time. I believe Newmont eased their foot of the gas when they decided to sell Havieron. It is not unexpected and not a show stopper.
To any investor who still has doubts concerning the arrangements to resolve the Aquifer issue, they can always sell their investment and move on. This is a high risk/ high reward investment and is not for the feeble minded.
