Not sure it’s the Debt raise that’s the issue regarding the Share Price, but the Equity Element. We don’t know the amount due to be raised and at what price. Plus we have the small amount due to be offered to Retail Investors (Assuming extra holders).

Still now hold 170K shares so all good and appreciate being able to buy some more this morning.

On a serious note, hard to figure why people are selling now, but there you have it.

Also added a few more yesterday & this morning. Now hold 100K.(Not big numbers, but happy with my holding). Probably will be tempted to add a few more if the price drops again.

Hoping to see reasonable return even from my investment level. Not in the 3M share league, lol. But happy to have started building a position.

Have seen a few of the RNS & Videos from the company website, so feel confident of what is taking place and hoping for better things.

I’ve been here a while now and found I’m not best suited to jumping in and out. So will stick with sit and wait. I have other investments that keep me occupied, some of which I have taken a more trade around a core approach.

Thanks for the info on a possible seller Bwana. As you say Craigieboy must be a desperate seller, but then if whom ever it is they maybe they see better options elsewhere in terms of timescale/return wise, so be it.

On the timelines, I’m going conservative and saying still 4 weeks off debt, further 2/3 weeks for Offtakes and then another 2/3 weeks to sort the equity raise out. So say end of Aug. I know things can be done concurrently, but the multiple parties and lawyers leads me err on a drawn out date. If it’s earlier, I will be really delighted.

Anyway just sitting on my hands and see how it goes. Focus on my other investment opportunities.

Wonder if a few sells earlier were peeps anticipating the public element of the raise and hoping to participate assuming is a discounted raise. Not a good idea to me but I suppose some will do it. If thought the raise is set say @ 8p going to be a few annoyed traders.

Alternatively someone got wind of a further slight delay.

Either way just waiting to see what is announced.

If you’re invested you’re probably loaded up already and waiting.

Maybe being held here as pre determined sp for equity raise, but that doesn’t sit with the low volume.

Also as has been said JM has form for delays.

I’ve no real idea, but firstly Scottish Mortgage is an investment trust registered on the London stock exchange. If needs be the Trust can if so wish can register the trust to be domiciled in say England or have dual listing in Europe/Scotland & England. Baillie Gifford are the trust managers so they don’t need to move anywhere. But as has been said probably a non event.

Just my simplistic view. Happy to be corrected.

Sorry meant of the $150m then only 50m is needed from others if Cornerstone is paying 100m.

But that’s my rough working out from the pie charts. Hopefully they put up the presentation and others can put some figures together.

Ivormoney, was just taking that from the pie chart.

Must have missed/forgot the bit where JM says $100m by the Cornerstone. If that’s so then the Pie chart he showed is wrong or around $100m is still to be raised.

Very happy to be wrong and we are just going to raise a nominal amount from others (more a case of appeasing some institutions and PI’s).

So assuming $150m or £107m Equity raise @ 10p then around 1.1B shares to allocated or 1.33B if it’s @ 8p

Morning all.
Forgot I took a screenshot of the Pie charts showing the debt equity raise. Not able/Don’t know how to post the picture and it didn’t have any % on the charts. But from it I have assumed the following:

First Pie Chart shows $461 for Capex and Contingency. With a smaller wedge for cost overrun and fees. Say overall $500m roughly.

Second Pie chart shows $325m for Debt and wedges for Offtake, Cornerstone (Equity) and Equity in the Market. Say Debt is 65% (325/500), the offtake looks to be say 5-7% and then 28-30% between the Cornerstone/Equity bit.

Sorry bit rough and ready but hope it useful.

Although I’m frustrated by the timelines stretching and have vented that at times, in the end it’s now a few months before we start to see the real story unfold. Sort the Finance and the news flow onwards is pure value add. (As far as I see it anyway).
