It's difficult but good on you for sticking to your guns. It's all well and good saying man up etc but if someone is carrying and asymptomatic and then they go and see their elderly relative to deliver shopping or what have you then the trouble starts. It's frustrating because it's hard to believe, but the risk is too great IMO.
My closest friend is West Minster armed police and they are working in the exact same conditions they always have done. He has two 7 month old twin boys and a wife at home and peoples attitudes and behaviours at work are driving him loopy.
Lockdown was absolutely necessary but it was going to come at a cost. Coming out of lockdown and being released back into the wild had to happen at some point and this is the real test and unfortunately the British public aren't up to it I dont think.
You pose a good arguement, Chrishar. What colour pants? Rofl
I just checked back through my WhatsApp history and she said "it's started here today. No confirmed cases yet but a lot of very poorly people." That was 13th of March.
Thanks for the kind comments. She's a real trooper and an absolute credit to the NHS.
Chrishar, I hadn't thought of it that way. I hope you're right. My wife is an ICU sister and has been on the frontline since day 1. Our local hospital peaked over 220 covid patients with ICU and the ICU over flow full. It is now circa 50 patients with ICU no longer maxed out, but she has noticed that covid patient numbers are slowly increasing again but also all the dossers who can't behave themselves drinking and taking all sorts are filling the hospital up again. So a 2nd wave of any sort could be difficult to handle.
I will be shocked if we don't have a second wave here in the UK. Yesterdays hottest day of the year saw Brits flocking to beaches and other destinations in their droves with no regard for distancing advice. The virus is still here. Nothing has changed. If there isn't another spike it will be a miracle. My fear is the worst is yet to be seen and what we have experienced so far was just a taste.
I called Halifax earlier. Chap on the other end was well aware of the placing but at this time Halifax did not have permission to take part. He said call again later for an update. Frustrating. Chances would be very slim anyway even of they did take an application request.
I've just read the EOYR RNS. I think the reason for the drop is because impatient "investors" didn't get the RNS they wanted and have up sticks and left. The Company has to release EOYR at some point. EOYR are just that, and shouldn't really point to anything else news wise. News should be delivered with a seperate RNS.
It was a decent EOYR RNS IMO. I also think there were a couple of hints of things to come. So I am holding.

I missed this. Was there anything of interest brought up?
