I am not Indian but when I see a particular poster posting, it makes me smile every time. No offence intended to anyone.

D: Tourism revenue forecast slashed this year summer. The financiers are connected to the GoB somehow, a farm out is not on the cards. The GoB needs to know if they have oil.
I'd like to think its B personally
Yes, so 8p on rig annoucement which could happen anytime now. Accumalte shares now if you can.
Hopefully a few positive RNS in succession going forward after thr long draught.
PageofCups is this what you were alluding to? Is the BG helping BPC with a deal with Shell???... hTtp://www.tribune242.com/news/2018/nov/06/bpl-examines-all-options-over-fuel/ Paul Maynard, yesterday suggested that with BPL's relationship with Shell North America further solidified via the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a multi-fuel power plant, the utility should seek cheaper fuel through the energy giant in the interim. #"I would say to Shell: Listen, you have me for all these years with this LNG project, let's work something out in the meantime'. They could sit down and try to get cheaper fuel. Bills have increased and this LNG plant is not going to be online until 2022. What's going to happen in the interim?" Mr Maynard asked. #"Shell is a big player in the fuel business. Sit down and work something out to get some cheaper fuel. The people are suffering."
Thanks PoC's, interesting view.
Pageofcups, so are BPC "still" in discussions with Shell?
Just wondering how you are so confident, with no information coming out of BPC how can you be so sure?
27/09/18, SP said, "We would like to thank all our investors and staff for their continued support and perseverance and look forward to reporting on further developments to you in the near term."
Nah, wasn't me, will pounce in at 1p THOUGH but I don't think we will get there. SP said news soon in the last RNS
My own feeling is that we now have a pro oil government and the Tribune article that I posted yesterday demonstrates that the Government is on our side, I don't see them getting in the way. I researched your point that a referendum was cancelled and found that your were right with regards exploration wells but could not find anything on the net with regards commercial drill. There may well be something out there but I can't find it.
As in the last paragraph on this article: http://m.tribune242.com/news/2018/apr/17/oil-explorers-licence-under-consideration/?templates=mobile "The former Christie administration passed into law a regulatory framework to govern oil exploration, as well as creating a sovereign wealth fund to handle any royalties and other proceeds from its discovery. It also shelved any referendum on whether to permit oil drilling in Bahamian waters until after there was confirmation that such deposits exist." A referendum post discovery could still be on the cards but we now have a new administration who is pro-oil and so who knows?
Removing crucial uncertainties at the time was with reference to a referendum for an exploration well to ahead.
Yes, I have also looked up a few articles, referendum was cancelled for exploration wells but could still be on the agenda for commercial exploitation. So fair point by Kev that this could be off putting to any potential suitors.
Kev, you are talking about the previous administration, the new government are pro-oil and this is what this article is highlighting ie OBAN and BPL deal with Shell gone through, next On the list BPC IMO.
I guess BPC are reiterating that technically the project is sound and have the support of the BG. Exclusivity would not have ended based on these.
