I'm guessing you have an average at 4.5-5 ? This is temporary, it will be resolved one way or another.

95% chance of making money from here on a buy and hold over the next 6-12 months, no matter what happens in the next few weeks. Much less than 5% chance of defaulting despite the high bond yields (over 10 years to get their money back)

We're all traders on here - it's only the time scales that we hold on that differ.

I don't disagree, and it's not just the fines that could be different.

restructuring costs didn't include extra unforeseen unknown regulatory costs - it couldn't have it hasn't been concluded.

there are more directors than Vernon, was it a just a careless oversight - they either didn't know what badge to put on it or did but didn't like the badge

Positives -
they take ages to sort things.
they won't want to cause too much disruption at the moment with everything else thats going on
they won't want to make Metro insolvent - the fine won't likely create too much of a hurdle

Negatives-
A distraction which creates further uncertainty for shareholders and more opportunity for hedge funds
it will cost a lot of money to sort and defend
they're going after some of the directors as they obviously feel that it wasn't a total oversight

The Lloyds BB is mainly brexit, I'm buying the shares again but avoiding the BB.

So if you believe in the value then there isn't an issue, if you don't then there might be..

I don't short shares as there are always plenty of other opportunities to trade without having to do so.

If someone was able to offer you the same house as yours in the same street for 50% of what you considered a fair price what would you do ??

Remortgage your own house - buy the discounted one and have 2 ?

Agree, HL don't lend out stock on their HL or PMS service (the majority of their accounts)

Vestor, I agree that the FCA wouldn’t want to create a big problem for metro. Not to save the tax payer money (we pay a levy along with all other financial firms every year to cover this sort of catastrophe) but to stop a run on the bank.

Amers bought the shares to benefit his fellow man, to boost the opportunities for Metro as a company in the hope that they would use the added financial strength to recruit, open more branches and enrich more towns and cities across Britain - good on you mate.

The share price won’t properly recover until there is transparency on earnings, a decision from the FCA, a new chairman or a bid of some sort.

Amers, if you aren’t able to function properly as a human because you’re in too early and/or too deep it’s not the fault of anybody else ?!

Take the blinkers off guys, 9.5% and £33 million extra on the balance sheet.

9.5% - that's what they'd charge to someone on benefits who wants a buy to let mortgage.

Relying on it going private as if it's now a fact, shorts have increased so they don't see it any time soon.

They're not stupid and it's not their fault that so many need the price to more than double just to break even.

I was investing for the medium term but gave up on that 2 weeks ago as it remains uninvestable barring a takeover IMO. I'm not bothered - keep ramping - i'll keep day trading - it's easy.

Sorry guys just my view on the constant 500 plus posts every day saying the same thing..
