JackSvoronos - there is a difference between Scott chatting through general updates with a major shareholder, vs. discussing Price Sensitive Information such as agreed funding.

Did you ask Scott if the strategics know how SOLG are funding this?

This was from DBW on 14th June:

Expect an update outlining licensing schedule etc next week.

Since (presumably Scott) had said:

“The team is meeting in Quito this week to discuss permitting schedules etc. and once I have their feedback, I'll be preparing the update”

Well, the week has been and gone. Awaiting clarity Scott...

JackSvoronos - I think $3bn (80p) would be a minor miracle.

I can't see how BHP/Newmont/Jiangxi are in a corner. They weren't forced to act by previous NSRs etc.

I didn't follow how you say 9p is not a fair price, and 20p is on the way, but simultaneously sell around 9p.

I agree with you RNSs are needed.

Not sure I agree with 12p - low retail volumes bought at 6p won't matter if there is a financing / partner update.

When you say Q4 / last quarter of the year, are you referring to financial or calendar year? i.e. June or Oct-Dec?

SOLG have never provided this sort of clarity. Any update would be suitably vague, as usual.

I don't know why they find it so difficult to be clear to their shareholders.

Agreed on the point Madpunter (although it was a 1% Net Smelter Royalty, rather than a 1% stake which would value Cascabel at $10bn).

That reminds me, only 2 years left of the 50% FNV buy-back clause. Wow, those 4 years went fast.

The PFS is based on c30% of the resource (contained metal).

Look at the NPV sensitivities for recent appreciation in gold and copper. And the forecast for future rises.

Cascabel could be worth $10bn.

Ortherncopper - I don't think there is anything close to "400 million dollar spending commitments across the rest of the portfolio".

Are you basing the $400m on the original Cascabel IPA (which was c$450m from memory, and SOLG would have been at c$300m before signing the Exploitation Agreement)?

A previous MD&A showed the exploration commitments over next 5 years to be less than $10m. Which was surprisingly low.

If 2024 news does turn out to be a full or partial (Cascabel) sale, or a material JV, you better avoid LSE for a year or so. Because - justified or not - you've opened yourself up to a lot of "I told you so"s.

I'm still of the view that junior explorer/developers require cash to create value.

So yes, an unpopular opinion I suspect, but I would rather a small raise had taken place to make some progress at Helipuerto, or complete a formal study at Porvenir, or drill 1 or 2 of the other priorities.

All irrelevant now. SOLG have put their eggs in the Cascabel basket.

An exciting few months coming up, but also slightly disappointing at the same time.

I worry how busy he'll need to work if SOLG actually start exploring/developing the other 5-10 priority concessions.

Let alone the portfolio of 80+.

To addicknt's point, I agree he has a small team around him. But that is his / ex-CGP's own doing. He can't complain about being busy - and having a cr@p I.R. function - when he has made those decisions.

Anyhow, further Govt progress imminent and we can look forward to some eventual value creation.

1984 - I have no idea how problematical the mRNA vaccines will prove to have been...

... however surely worth acknowledging that people weren't getting vaccinated because they had nothing better to do. There was a reason - to prevent serious illness and overloading medical services.

All medication has potential side effects. All vaccines have risk. Majority likely to be very unlikely or mild.

Anyhow, I didn't imagine myself to still be posting about vaccines (or even Solgold for that matter) in 2024.

Keen for the value-creation event in next 1-2 months. Or at least solid information about how ex-CGP management plan to take this forward.
