RR - I've disagreed with you very little of late, but on your Covid comments I have to counter your points.

My understanding (I'm not a viroligist, nor work in Govt or the ONS) is Covid is irrelevant now is because (i) the virus has significantly mutated; (ii) most of the population has some degree of immunity (via vaccine or natural, after having caught it one or more times).

Comparing Covid now to early 2000 is chalk and cheese.

Don't get me wrong. Lots done poorly and money wasted - but that's the UK Govt for you. Getting it right earlier would also have cost money (protection for NHS & care homes, tracing and diagnostics). No doubt people would have complained about that too - contingency planning for pandemics/emergencies is expensive and most of the time not needed.

Anyhow, I'm more concerned about Solgold making progress finally monetising Cascabel. I've found this debacle much more frustrating and expensive than Covid.

And if so, what outcome is required? i.e. takeover is contingent on which candidate winning?

RodneyT - the Tandayama drilling is 2-3 years too slow.

Tandayama MRE #2 was announced in May 2022.

Darryl mentioned at the time: "“The Cascabel project continues to grow with more drilling with the additional resources being identified at TAM providing an open pit resource potentially enabling Cascabel production to be brought forward and a significant risk mitigation to any ramp up delays in the underground production"

Then a Mineral Resource Statement in November 2023.

Not reflected in the revised Cascabel PFS in February 2024, nor updated since.

A great opportunity ridiculously delayed. Just like Porvenir. Unless, the reality of both is simply not as good as hoped?

Suspect the answer is given limited cash the company hasn't been able to determine the potential of each.

A 'definitive plan' to be announced re: distinct exploration subsidiary. Including a potential ASX listing.

Announcement of in-country Ecuador based COO, and 'add a highly regarded block caving expert/consultant in the near term' (gives the impression SOLG know who this will be, and finalising details).

Whilst I'm pretty furious at the situation SOLG find themselves in, and lack of meaningful progress over last 2 years, I'm optimistic of positive updates in next 3 months.

After all, as "silent-over-the-last-2-years" Dan says:

"I look forward to engaging regularly with all our shareholders and stakeholders".

"I dont believe Mitsui publicly stated anything of the sort. They were pictured in a meeting apparently about Cascabel - i think the Australian newspaper said they might be interested in partnering with Solgold."

Just noticed this sentence which has been included in last 2 RNSs:

"SolGold continues to advance de-risking programs, permitting and financing discussions and to reevaluate the project at recent consensus prices for copper and gold."

Maybe there is nothing new to this, given we know a Feasibility Study is being worked on and this would reflect updated metals prices...

... However, this certainly highlights to me that Solgold want to get the message out that this project is worth much more given Gold and Copper appreciation.

I disagree. Jiangxi were already shareholders, Solgold Canada no longer are. So less diverse.

If anything it makes the likelihood of a successful LOW BALL bid more likely. Management no longer have the protection of the 5% voting rights from Solgold Canada to vote in their favour.

Agreed. For a director of operations and comms, well, the approach for comms has been inconsistent, comms generally lacking, and on operations well, who knows if on track or not.

If Solgold are worrying about £32k a year then we have problems. Not sure if he replies to SHs directly, need clarity on role / responsibilities. Basically, who is acting as IR contact and answering SH emails.

The one person you've left out is Dan. I'd argue he has been invisible for 2 years, then suddenly appears as CEO....

Call me glass-half-empty, I'm more interested in Scott not selling any of his existing shares. Not whether he buys more.

Management is in such a mess. Next 4 months will make or break Solgold in my view - securing next tranche of Franco funds and wider financing, plus ExploreCo.

A clear Noboa win as well please.
