think the Aa has handled lockdown really well and will benefit in the long term from the PR i can see them offering something to nhs/key workers.

the aa is making a huge play on data and tech being at the heart of their strat. trakm8 is a key supplier the debt burden is the issue for them. the share were 70p only recently.

plus at this stage of their growth 20k customer i would think they want a standard product which leans towards trakm8 being the sole provider (was that a mike bolton song).

on current growth rates they at April 2021 they would be at 70k to 80k.
personal view is they will be looking for 1% market share.
then interesting the new investors are German. if it flies then it wont take them long to ask when can we get this product to the european market.

must admit i did dip into the aa and took a small profit to top up on trak and was thinking i should have stuck with the aa but today has been tough. i have been out so will have a look a bloomberg in a min.

i know shareprohets are very negative on this stock due to the debt. hope the cblis could be well timed and in theory the gov. will be pushing the lending but who knows on the debt front.

if they can scale up then i dont see much reason for costs to increase except raw materials etc.

there is a huge chunk of the population over 50 and under 80 who are prime for the bymiles product. then people in cities who dont really do huge mileage.

then they are offer £50 off and credits when exist customers recruit new so the growth could show a nice trend.

bymiles charge around £180 standing annual charge then per mile. so even i think £25 per annum per insurance customer is reasonable
AA current charging £5 per month for smart breakdown. if they ate serious about the product then i can see them including in the price as it saves them breakdowns
my personal view is directline have been a headwind on the overall insurance numbers so might be hiding growth i others
