Skins, I agree.
Gwilliams, well said, hope some of the disruptive XR, etc take note. I would not mind if they came up with ideas to improve the situation, instead of causing polluting traffic jams etc.
Oil and gas will be needed for at least 20 years, but may not be as viable for the Big boys as us little onshores. $14 lift costs.
Having said that, with an eye to the future I would suggest Hydrogen. I saw recently, Japan is running vehicles on manufactured Hydrogen from rubbish and farms. The great point being they were also using plastic as well. Apparently leaving no toxins. So double benefit.
Nor did I see any reports of the hydrogen train that ran along our main line this week.
