Agreed! I’ve been this since late 2020 and have bought in at various stages from the lows to 26p. I’m not to concerned about my average or how long it’s taking to dewater and get to production.

I see a project that is moving forward, and as I’ve recently bought a new home in Camborne I’ve been to the recycling centre a lot over the past 8 months. What do I see? The lights are on and stuff is happening! And on my latest trip ( finally cleared the bottom of the garden, hooray ), when I climb the steps to dump my rubbish, on the South Crofty land they’re preparing the ground for new buildings to go in. This is going to be a long term hold as I see nothing but positive change at South Crofty and believe that at some point, when the product comes out of the ground we’ll be rewarded with a very healthy share price and hopefully dividends.

The price of tin, costs, outgoing CEO, it’s either a drag or a boon! All i know is that on my constant drives between my old place and my new home I’m renovating, the lights are on at Crofty. The latest I’ve passed there is at 8PM and there’s activity. I’m willing to sit on these ( as I have for a few years ) and wait as we are onto a winner here in my opinion.

Gingy, I think patience is the key with this share. As soon as tin/copper or lithium are coming out of the ground this will be a sleeper. I first bought in four years ago and have bought from the recent lows all the way up to 26p. Instant return is not the name of the game here. Either sell up and play with some other shares that may give good returns ( why oh why did I not invest more in Rolls Royce a while back? ) or hold on, don’t worry and see yourself rewarded in a few years time.

Securonomics, our local MP ( Perran Moon ) is on the energy bill committee and does seem to be trying to help out South Crofty. Of course, the silence on this is deafening, and I’m a half glass full type of person. This could mean there is a significant investment coming from the government ( hence the slight up tick in share price ). Governments love to get the bad news out about a budget first ( hence the omnishambles of their definition of a ‘working person’ ) and keep the good news for the papers the day after the budget. I believe we’ll see a major rise in the SP which should please the likes of Gingy, and will definitely put a smile on the faces of long term investors such as myself who remember the days of 26p a share a few years back.

It was one of the reasons I first invested in Cornish Metals. At the time I first invested there was a lot of talk about the reliance on foreign metals for the transition away from fossil fuels. Crofty seemed like a sure bet for our government to get involved and help get us to production as soon as possible. But since then silence. They truly don’t know or understand what an asset it is to the country and goes to prove a theory of mine, Parliament is a talent vacuum!

Haven’t posted for a while as the chats have definitely been a bit ‘off’ of late. I’ve sat by and seen the value of this share plummet, but have always had faith in the potential of the mine and what it will do for our local economy ( and us investors ). From 26p down to the lows we’ve all seen I’ve bought at various points. The new CEO has obviously given some stability going forward and I look forward to this share really moving back to where it truly should be!

Yes, thing’s do seem to be going at a pace. As soon as this rain lets up I will take a look myself as one of my cross country mountain biking routes takes me by there. After a poor showing all around for my shares last year I can definitely see a ray of sunshine!

Not sure if it is the same report, but on my newsfeed there was a Times article about a ‘rare earths metal’ project in Sweden. Seems it’s going to be up and running in the next 10-15 years. They seem rather excited by it, but it begs the question, why aren’t they getting excited about Cornish Metals?

It has been, I threw an extra £1000 at this today to top up ( from my new car fund ). Definitely on the move, and only wish I could make sense of the multiple RNS that came out this afternoon. But for me, at the moment, the new car fund is growing and I’m happy with that.

Have seen this before, absolutely stunning. As an aside, I did my work experience in the surveying office at South Crofty during the eighties. My ‘job’ was to update old maps of the mining levels.

Barring some council workers doing some surveying ( probably to keep the byways safe ) I’ve not managed to talk to anyone else out there. They’re usually gone by the time I get to their location!

I know that just above where they were ‘exploring’ there is a ‘modern’ ventilation shaft. Over my riding out there this year I’ve seen quite a bit of activity from men in hi viz jackets. Not all of it to do with us, but I’m always a half glass full type person!

It was a few weeks back and the weather has been terrible so I haven’t been out since. They were up on the southern side just above the end of the tailing dam ( St Day/Carharrack end ). I saw two benefits to this work, it means that exploration is still going ahead, and they’re not digging up the jump lines I like to ride there.

I haven’t posted for a while as there genuinely hasn’t been much to write about ( well apart from some diggers being moved around Wheal Maid whilst I was out mountain biking ). My position is to hold and if possible buy more at these prices. This for me has at a minimum five years to see a significant return on my investment. Hold fast and don’t worry is my advice, the share price will do what it does, this is not a share to take tiny profits from .

Love a bit of optimism, but this share closed at C47 on Friday. That may push the price up to the high 20’s here on market opening. Let’s see though, only a few hours to find out.

London Stock Exchange is closed tomorrow and Friday. I’m not sure whether Toronto will be closed for the jubilee ( Friday ), but either way, Monday on LSE could see a massive jump for us.

Think that may have been Marc2’s dog. My wife and dog were bored after two minutes and went outside for a wander. I was wearing a pair of Bans, shorts and a grey t shirt by Thrasher magazine. Yes, I am a middle aged skateboarder, but I’ve been doing it since ‘79 so why stop now?
