It would be a small consolation if the sp ticked up a bit running into ex-divi but doesn't look like it. Will we see a 52 week low in the next seven days? Mks always seem to have an ok Christmas, in relative terms. Changes need to be made in the new year to arrest the slide. Aimo.

Maybe, opinions vary. I know plenty of working people that shop online and arrange delivery for a time slot that suits. I know the big supermarkets are delivering up to at least 9 at night. Some people only shop that way. It's the choice a lot of consumers expect. They also expect it to be a decent service and fit for purpose. High Street retail has to be top notch to compete. There are plenty of online retailers making very good headway regardless of any returns that they might have to handle. Credible enterprises such as Boohoo are catering very well for the new generation of shoppers. These are the same consumers that are developing their shopping habits now, will they change as they get older? It's all about opinions to how you see this share recovering. I personally think that MKS will never be the brand it once was. I still think that they have major restructuring to do moving forward. Having said all this I still hold and will for a while longer. Ex Divi soon and then the Christmas period. Let's see

I'm not a born and bred retailer and certainly no expert, if I was I would probably have never invested in this dying swan. As you know , retail has moved on big time in 20 years. The consumer not only wants quality, reasonable prices and value but they want it online and delivered. Some shoppers don't leave their armchairs and like only to open the door to a delivery guy. Expensive stores need to be rammed with buying customers whatever the product. That's what brand loyalty is. That will only happen in today's market if it is vfm and decent. Bananas are bananas, you can tell by looking at them if they are any good.

I'm not sure it's doom and gloom, just plain reality and facts. MKS brand loyalty is not what it was or what some people and investors think. Very little left of it from the people I speak to and I meet a wide range. MKS don't or won't help themselves and are trying every little trick to make changes but they all seem to be the wrong ones. Like someone said, you can find better clothing on scarecrows and their food range is bettered elsewhere for less money.

I'm the same. Luckily I'm still showing a small paper profit as my average is about 317p. The sp was nearly 400 a few months ago and I thought it was going the right way but all they want to do is tell us mediocre news is good and as planned. I've given them a long time but from what I hear and see they are at the edge of a long slippery slope that I believe, one day, will end like other well known high street retailers. It's all a generational thing. The youngsters of today getting older will have new shopping habits and won't want to know. MKS are not doing enough to keep their existing shoppers happy and seem out of touch with what they want.

I'm glad you get it. I'm the same now with pharma's. I made a bit with this crowd but still have a holding. If I knew what was going to happen I'd have sold the lot, like all of us I suppose? I also gave mtfb a chance with a small investment and they are slowly doing me ok. If they reach my sell price within the next six months I'll say goodbye to them too.

Not sure if excellent news, but going the right way. Let's hope this time it's all run correctly and the mistakes that were made last time aren't allowed to happen again. I'll sell as soon as I can recover any losses or at least stomach a small hit.

If and when redx come back will it be with the same bod? Weren't they responsible for the bad management that got us in this position. The sp will already be hammered to bits with all that's gone on. So surely a bod change and a fresh start with people that know what they're doing would be the best thing. It's all about confidence. We need people with strong leadership and the know how of how to run a business. It's not all about driving mercs and corporate lunches

Leopards don't change their spots. Estate agents are all the same. Thing is with this is that the whole game is going to end up on the internet. Everything is still in its infancy, internet, online estate agents, everything. How long have we had this online carry on, no time, it's all new but one day it will be the only way. Banking is going that way, branches closing all the time. Estate agents will follow. I'm surprised it has taken this long. Online agencies will be the only agencies one day just like banking eventually. Some people don't even go in tescos anymore, they look at pictures online and buy their groceries that way! Purp was in early and will lead the market for a long time, in my opinion. Getting there quickly too, maybe too quickly?
