Newcrest are looking for a Permitting and Environment Manager based at Havieron.
A two year fixed term role, 8 days on/6 days off, flown in and out from Perth.
Duties include:
Manage the integration of the Havieron Project with the existing Telfer Gold Mine for all environmental and permitting aspects.
Manage and deliver the environmental and permitting (and approval) aspects of the Feasibility Study, including a complete ESIA.
Havieron described as "Our exciting Havieron Project the primary target of the Newcrest-operated farm-in and potential joint venture with Greatland Gold and forms a key focus of Newcrest’s growth strategy."

I do think Greatland is overvalued, but so are most of the other AIM companies and a fair percentage of FTSE companies.
Greatland is an enticing investment that has got way ahead of itself due to investor greed.
10p now feels like a bottom of sorts.
If 10p is the 'bottom' I should do OK.
However, I have plenty of cash held back to drip feed in as and when I see fit. Hopefully averaging UP and not DOWN!

Okay, I finally stuck a toe in the water.
My little toe admittedly.
I would have liked to have bought my first tranche much lower (Who wouldn't?) but I simply couldn't hold out any longer.
I was hoping to start buying at 5p-7p in the run up to the feasibility study but am tentatively thinking that the 9p-10p level will hold.
9.9p .... Six months ago it would have been poo pooed by many as an impossibility, but here we are.
In six months time how will that investment look?
If the feasibility study delivers as has been forecast it should prove to be profitable.
If the downtrend continues, without negative news driving it, I'll continue to add and build up a holding in the single digits.

We have all succumbed to greed at some point in our investing lives, if you think you haven't you are lying to yourself.
Own your mistake.
I am still sitting on my hands waiting for this downtrend to end, if things still look OK I will invest.
But, at a market cap of £400m I still think GGP are overvalued at present.
The market seems to think so too.

I never thought I'd get another chance to get in at under £10.
On a three year time frame I am confident that I will double my money.

I suggest you watch the webcast, the guys couldn't have been more upbeat and confident about the aero business.
It has certainly lit the blue touch paper.

That makes it around 1.8p per share as a base dividend by my reckoning.

I'll be out soon, just riding this wave until it breaks.
The $60m base dividend pledge interested me until I did the math.
TLW shares in issue 1.43 billion
We receive 5.464 billion shares when we merge.
'New' TLW shares in issue 6.902 billion.
$60m = £48m
£48m divided by 6.902 billion gives us the princely sum of 0.7 pence per year...
As has been said, there is far better value elsewhere, without the risk and with a dividend that actually makes it worthwhile

Ties up the Nortex turnaround nicely. We can now focus entirely on GKN to repeat the trick.

On this mornings analyst webcast it was pretty obvious that the main focus is going to be on creating an Africa giant with assets in North Africa(Egypt) East Africa(Kenya) and West Africa(Ghana)
Priority on increasing production from 100k boepd to 120koepd.
However, when asked directly whether the UK would be exited entirely Simon said No.

TLW are getting a great deal, reduced leverage and cash to return to paying dividends.
CNE? I'm struggling to see the compelling rationale for this as a CNE shareholder

I'm done too.
With over $2 billion in net debt hanging over Tullow our cash will disappear into a black hole.
Shame, as I thought the approach of going after assets that could be monetised in the near term and were sited adjacent to existing infrastructure was a reasonable way to proceed.
We are now back in Africa and a hugely indebted company.
We'd have been better sticking with Senegal through to production.

We receive 3.8 TLW shares for every Capricorn share.
TLW trading at 54p implies a value for each of our shares at around 205p.
TLW have assets but little cash.
We have cash and cash producing assets.
It might work but I am not convinced.... I might sell and consider buying back in after the merger when the dust has settled.

Compensation is in no airline's interests, the costs soon become eye watering.
The civil aviation authority table indicates that a rescheduled flight from Birmingham to Morocco arriving over three hours later than the original flights arrival time..... £350 per person! Plus food, drinks, phone costs and, heaven forbid, an overnight stay in a hotel with transport to and from the airport.
This is a huge problem, and one management should have dealt with before these compensation clauses were triggered.
With around only £50 per seat in revenue coming in, we can I'll afford to spaff so much up the wall on not getting people off to their destinations

That's why I wrote 17p

I was happy to buy in the low 600s and picked up some more in the low 700s, coupled with the 17p dividend FRES has been very kind to me thus far.
Howevet, until there is some positive news 800p looks like a ceiling for now.
However, If the company fulfils guidance on production, labour recruitment and the electrical connection we will surely trade higher.
If we test 1000p at some time this year I will be a very happy investor.

Up over 10% in a month.

It seems clear that the mandate given by the company for the first tranche is to support the SP at 200p.
Whilst there are sellers at <200p this will continue.
If supply dries up they'll push the threshold a bit higher.
The aim is to buy the shares as cheaply as possible, not simply to buy $200m worth of shares as quickly as possible imo.
This time next year, if the company delivers on its guidance, the market will have re rated us upwards.
