The next focusIR Investor Webinar takes places on 14th May with guest speakers from Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund. Please register here.
Why would they?
They have all the inside info, know what is in the pipeline and value. for them to sell now would mean somebody in their investment team is getting fired.
The only reason SGS would sell anything, is if they are short on funds so will slice some, or they already know everything is gone to crap and this is as good as the price will get, thus will take what they can get when they can get it. (All indicators say success, and other contracts already made public knowledge, so this seem very unlikely).
no way SGS will sell a thing (IMO) for quite some time.
I imagine after yesterday, many sitting on the sidelines waiting for warrant churn to finish (if not done already).
probably a few buys on open, some "doesn't make sense" price action for a few hours, followed by a steady recovery later in the day, potentially finish around the start price. (all a guess, and I'll almost certainly be wrong)
If I wasn't already positioned here, I would be topping up! but, LTH with a much lower entry price, so quite happy to sit and wait for it to play
Thank you @BigDave13
Still quite a few to go, although the October ones will be interesting based on the price.
At least we've made a solid dent in them compared to a couple of months ago.
will be good to finish the flush of the 362,222,142 tomorrow as well. (if not already done based on todays prices)
Cheers :)
oh, I get how the sell/buy is flagged, I don't trust it at all. no concerns with that. but if everything was all buys we would be in positive territory. there are a bunch of sells going through (reglardless of LSE reporting of trades and the label they give).
I think the reminder about warrants tomorrow is probably one of the main reasons, plus any who perhaps got in yesterday for a quick flip assuming news Friday perhaps.
I would be genuinely intereted in understanding why there are so many sells, or what specific points in the overall scenario are making some of the sellers uneasy enough to sell.. (excluding personal reasons / quick gains etc).
they want to suck up shares with a tree shake to fill higher price orders...
The reason I believe we're not already flying, is also due to lack of financials in the RNS from VELA, likely for good reason.
However, we are in for 8% of what may be a VERY VERY VERY large revenue generating product... Once those commerically sensitive details are locked in via contract they will be shared..
Assuming the anticipated news is confirmed good this week, it'll make little difference.. we will still see some major advances to the SP and the last of the warrants will be washed through almost without being noticed. If we were only looking at a small SP raise then I would share your concerns. multiple views, all with validity depending on perspective :)
No surprises, there was a post around warrants a few weeks ago which suggested there were still quite a number outstanding.
however, this is GOOD news. it is the LAST of the warrants I believe, and reasonably small number compared with volumes this week.
does not come as a surprise, been waiting for this update. At least they are done.. YAY
Much salt falling from many a hole this morning... but why?
Ok, so there is a delay... it's a minor delay and is phrased in such a way that news can come any time between now and end of the week. This opens up an oppertunity for those who have only just found VELA to review and take a position if they so choose.
If you are invested, and salty... then perhaps you invested for the wrong reason? Many of us long term holders are here for the duration as we believe in the company direction and leadership. The delay today isn't bad... bad news would be announced without any delay..
Good news, takes more time as you need to dot the i's and cross the t's to ensure everything is in place and locked down appropriately before sharing potentially sensitive market information. We don't know for sure why it has been delayed, but this seems the most logical reason.
If there is salt falling from your hole... why? or, are you a general AIM roulette player who hopes to make a quick flip based on a previously published date and got caught out..?
The fundimentals HAVE NOT CHANGED, so opinion (imo) hasn't changed on why to invest here...
Hold, wait... reposition, sell... these are all personal choices based on your own situation and strategy.. no need to spread salt like the plague...
to the other LTH's... good luck :)
Would it be unreasonable to assume an RNS to inform the market when the placement of all warrants as per the 27th of August RNS, has completed?
Seen a variety of comments related to warrants this week and I'm curious if they are placed, or yet to be placed. The RNS on the 27th stated that they are "expected to become effective on 3 September 2021.", thus not before?
makes me wonder if there will be a hit on the SP if they all drop today, followed by a rush to suck up shares to position for news
Been lurking here for quite some time and am a long term holder. There seems to be a major focus and expectation of an RNS by the end of June, however the previous RNS did state that end of June 2021 was only a ESTIMATE, not a guarentee.
"it is estimated that initial results will be available by the end of June 2021, with the full results available approximately 8 weeks thereafter."
Put your feet up, grab a brew and wait for bus day, everything will arrive at once.
