cheers guys
Mologic have the CE mark for their LFT. Am I right in thinking once tech transfer is complete ODX will then have to get the CE mark for their rebranded Mologic test even though its the same test?
Thanks
Why dont the government use the surescreen test? CE marked and MHRA approved???? They are selling to Belgium etc but said the UK gov wasnt interested!!!
The 8yr old lad had the anterior swab test this week, still balled his eyes out, maybe from fear that it was going to be like the brain tickling test, but anyway would be hard work getting him to take that test regularly before school.
They know what they are doing...expecting an RNS this week on the production line installation. These boys know how fast this moves, they have just grasped hold of an issue and flogged it to death because their window of opportunity is diminishing by the second. Its a ****ing sad life they lead considering it relates to tech that will help save lives and will be in huge demand.
Clearly didnt work as well in the real world.
Its the Oxford Vaccine that will have the real impact, home grown, no logisitical issues and they have already been produced, the question is which comes first, the vaccine or Avacta's LFT - its on a knife edge if you ask me.
The company has just been too slow, the CEO talks a good game but has delivered zilch meaningful sales in the timescales he suggested. Over promised and undelivered..so far.
Shame the management team from Novacyt were not in charge, could have been so different.
Will take a look
At about 17.30 onwards John Bell discusses saliva LFT's and says ".... trouble getting the saliva things to work very well tbh, its pretty hit and miss and a lot of it has got to do with if you had a hamburger or cheese sandwich for lunch, saliva's pretty messy actually..." then talks about the new nasal tests only go a bit up the nose and are not brain ticklers like everyone thinks.
Clearly John Bell sees the anterior nasal swab as the best way forward over saliva. Could this be the reason for the holdup? Changing from a saliva to nasal swab test?

It is a swab but not a brain tickling one, just an inch up the nose I believe, could argue that is a better method than people spitting?
Yeah see Alister was shouting from the roof tops Affimer this Affimer that whilst other companies have just gone about their business efficiently producing CE market tests and selling them. Alister on the other hand was busy taking advantage of people who thought (wrongly) that Avacta might actually be doing the same this summer. Oh and chosing feck ing wallpaper.
From the Q&A.........."For the LFD, these key milestones are: completing the technology transfer with BBI and starting the production of the first pilot batch; clinical validation; CE marking for professional use and product launch; CE marking for self-testing and product launch. "
All in less than a month!!! That Myles guy is taking you pups for a load of mugs.
Alister said CE marking for home use would come later, you guys all in in bed with this Myles character?
But they wont be making a profit of £2.50 per test will they?
Really interesting interview that, answered a lot of questions.
My thought aswell, a few others also. Need someone who knows this stuff to explain, just it just means BAM's or is it antibody related???
NM
Before someone delivers a cure.
Its all well and good doing these interviews every five minutes, dishing out options like confetti and raising huge sums for drugs that will take years and years to get to market. Nobody gives a **** about them - it's AIM, its the here and now, every day there "advantage" is diminishing and before you know it boom! a vaccine is upon us and Alister is still deciding on whether the packaging should be in white or off white.
BAMS - what happened to that?
