I am not so sure about that... there is a growing demand for housing from investors / investment companies seeking growth and / or inflation protection. Until Labour makes themselves electable again, the Tories have no reason to offer reform. With insufficient housing stock, the demand remains even if the buying pool shifts.
And with higher wages thanks to inflation and an artificially low interest rate policy, the 'man in the street' will be able to service loans on higher property prices. A softening of prices, maybe; a crash seems unlikely to me.
