It is a "win - win"... The Rules of Origin do not apply for trade in both directions. And, the UK import more electric cars from the EU than export to them so it benefits the EU more than the UK. But, the story is from the Daily Express; did you expect an unbiased version of the same story?

Those wind haters must be in a quandary... Are they happy that prices are cheaper and more gas is sitting in storage & we do not have to rely on evil Ruzzians, or still annoyed because they are baked gammon?

You are missing the point... Renewables do not work all the time so there will be times when Denmark has excess wind power and times when we have excess. Being able to import / export means that the Turbines do not need to be switched off when there is more power created than being consumed... The extra interconnectors helps reduce Grid Congestion.

I have posted several times that I have been looking for a niche supplier in Grid expansion but everything I have investigated is either private or private equity... PIs are locked out!

I would be 'confident and unconcerned' if I ran a listed company that had so many underwater shareholders who feel little option but to average down whilst pulling in new investors as they ramp their poor investment choice. It creates a self sustaining base of loyal averaging downers prepared to buy second hand shares from spivs who take part in discounted placings and flip the shares to the masses. My wages would be assured...
