Personally I got in at £9.67 and bought 4200 shares but maybe I should of waited another week for the 8’s. However not being a trader and with retirement looming I didn’t want to risk missing the jump. The first year on this board I was reading posts from the professionals who said oil was doooomed. Ha! I haven’t traded the share and made more, but there again I haven’t stressed knowing the sp would get back to £26 +. Now we are closing in on £26 I’m still not going to sell because in the current market and the foreseeable future I feel safer staying put.

jmak, I think OPEC are planning on a $90 - $100 pb average oil price. $60 is so yesterday.

BRJ, I have owned 34,000 TW. shares since 09 and have also been looking at PSN. After the next PSN Ex div the sp will most likely tank below £10, like it did after the last Ex div when the sp dropped from £18. Personally I will wait for eight. ish

Jakers I agree OPEC made a stupid move but it was to show the domestic market they can stand up to the US. As usual it is all about saving face. Saudis high tech jets and offence/defence systems are American made and require specialist backup and parts which can’t be bought in Russia or anywhere else.

G’day Spights I seem to remember the last two attacks hit the dock and then a couple of lorries which caused little disruption. The refinery is heavily fortified with state of the art air defence systems. If there is a major attack it will be interesting to see if the US drag there feet after OPEC said they would drop production by $2 million bpd. However this would be a good time to take out the Iranian leadership while there is the internal turmoil caused by the uprising.

Clued, I think all Russian seized and frozen assets should go towards rebuilding Ukraine.

Earlier today I posted this on the BP board and I was wondering how much the WFT and the Russian oil seaborne ban on the 5th December would affect your charts.

I don’t believe there will be too much of an impact on the sp when the government impose a further WFT on BP & Shel. With the implementation of the seaborne Russian oil ban on the 5th December, crude prices could potentially rise to over $100 pb next month and up to $115 during the first quarter of 2023. This would surely outweigh any negative hit from the WFT IMO.

Hey Jakers, Most excellent I bought both near the bottom but I have twenty times more Shel shares and it’s good to be back above £24.

I hope the BP results on Tuesday will return the favour and give the Shell sp a bit of a lift.
