Hi meoryou, that sounds like a mission because these pipelines are very long and you would need a shed load of gas and tankers. It doesn’t sound feasible to me but what do I know.
Hey Bigbadbaz, I assumed the oil companies would of capped the well when finished.
If you are talking about water seeping in through the surrounding rock structure well surly that happens anyway, and as previously stated the oil already has water mixed in with it.
Even if it spoiled at least you could still create a minimum movement through the pipes.
Probably a stupid question but could they transfer it to another pipeline then pump it back down underground from whence it came. In other words create a temporary loop.
Interesting cheers guys I learnt something today. So even if the war stopped and there was a new democratic Russian government voted in it looks as though the pipes will be toast looong before that happens.
BPI, I can’t imagine Europe doing a U-turn and start buying Russian oil again so the pipes are scrap anyway. I assume Russia is thinking the same or it would not of blown up the undersea pipeline in four places.
I have been clock watching expecting the sp to drop from the usual Friday profit taking especially after the sp has been on a run.
But no it seems to be holding on nicely but I’m a couple of hours ahead of you.
Boyo, Brent is now at $98 pb and the 5th December ban on Russian seaborne oil will soon be upon us, then this will be followed by China hopefully coming out of lockdown in January.
Where do you think the oil price will be in the first quarter of next year.
Personally I got in at £9.67 and bought 4200 shares but maybe I should of waited another week for the 8’s. However not being a trader and with retirement looming I didn’t want to risk missing the jump. The first year on this board I was reading posts from the professionals who said oil was doooomed. Ha! I haven’t traded the share and made more, but there again I haven’t stressed knowing the sp would get back to £26 +. Now we are closing in on £26 I’m still not going to sell because in the current market and the foreseeable future I feel safer staying put.
BRJ, I have owned 34,000 TW. shares since 09 and have also been looking at PSN. After the next PSN Ex div the sp will most likely tank below £10, like it did after the last Ex div when the sp dropped from £18. Personally I will wait for eight. ish
