Shell ADR $61.85 the share price has not been this high for over four years ish. BP also looks like it’s finishing on a high and Brent is still up. Loooooking goooood for Monday and hopefully next week.
Is it possible the Russian have too much oil they can’t sell?
Hey Pang, It could be another ****ing contest after more arguments with OPEC+. Or maybe they have too much oil which they can’t sell it since the new European rules were imposed. Whatever the oil price is going up because the Saudis don’t want to pump any extra this year.
Russia has been discounting the oil it sells to India and China for less than $60.
So some countries will be hoping a $60 cap can be reviewed and tweaked as the situation changes, $60 is just the number to get all countries on board. IMO
Jakers, I used to work in the Norfolk countryside in all weathers and one day an old lady with a heavy Norfolk accent said to me,
That old Norfolk wind go right through you boy but hold you hard they say.
Na that’s when I flew south lol.
I don’t believe the sp will stay down for too long, the oil price cap comes into force on the 5th.
What say ye.
OWLS, Yes my bad I got 10 billion in 2030 mixed up with 2050. I should know better I was posting about this very subject on the Shell board two years ago. Some peeps were saying the oil price would never go up because everyone would be driving electric cars by 2050. This won’t happen because there will be 2 billion more people in third world countries who will still need oil.
Hi Barrieprov, I seem to remember last Friday Shell shot up through £25 but BP struggled to get over £5 maybe its just readjusting.
Indeed Baz, but CT is cool and we have a lot of freedom here.
It’s Sunday so my Asian wife and I are going to burn some hydrocarbons on a Harley breakfast run. Our bikes have straight through pipes and if we get stopped for speeding there’s just a £10 + fine and no points of our licenses . Usually the cops just want to look at our bikes and then ask us to give them a rev!!! Lol.
At the end of the day we can all usually share a joke, so they generally leave us alone because we do a lot of charity work for their cousins.
Hi meoryou, SA is swings and roundabouts. We are okay because everything is paid for and we don’t have children. However if anyone was thinking about moving here with young children, they would need to be making a lot of money for private schools and medical etc.
You stay you pay there’s no help for us.
Hi Pang, yes the Garden Route is stunning. I have sailed up and down the Wild coast which is teeming with wildlife, and I understand why the South Africans stopped Shell from running their seismic surveys.
Hi meoryou, we are living in Cape Town which is 2hrs ahead but only 1hr when you change your clocks. Summer is here the SE’er is thumping and a pint of Guinness or Stella costs £2.20 ish.
Happy days
