Did anyone confirm if Visa Checkout was Monitise? I know they did all the previous work (V.me) then rambled on about onerous contracts, but Visa Checkout is apparently live this week in the UK, slow roll out probably

APIs are a game changer. Just look at Revolut, it started as a currency FX changer, then one week just added a regular bank account, and through APIs it's just launched insurance, mortgages and wealth management, via API partners, within a few extra weeks.

Are the turbines down because they broke, or because they are fiddling with the internal gubbins? I only read that one turbine was broken, and that seemed to be because of a "3rd party error", whether that means a cheeky fisherman dropped anchor or a gear needed changing, tricky to say.

Yes, but I can't say this investing strategy has revolutionised my portfolio yet ;) A couple of big wins this year but none in the high tech field yet! Tungsten seem to be in a sweet spot, they're sitting on a mound of cash, cash drain is minimal, relatively low MCAP, high growth industry with government regulation pushing it along. Not really sure what to make of the new finance offering right now, however the Payoneer partnership is a great tag-on for foreign exchange currency, it should open up a range of far cheaper FX for smaller companies. Let's say I target October 2017 for EBITAD breakeven, I forget what the cashflow situation beyond that is.

If I'm correct this is the last week of the Tungsten financial year. There'll be a tolerable EBITAD loss and moderate cash in bank. Management had indicated a monthly EBITAD breakeven during this financial year...not far away now. FY2018 is the year it's meant to happen for Tung so fingers crossed.

Yes, a good CfD round will provide Atlantis with a good installation pipeline for the next 6 years. It's rivals (Tidal Lagoons) are currently more expensive and take longer to build, so fingers crossed.

Nice to see figures being banded around, plenty of grant cash and EU loans coming in: "Atlantis Resources is in line for an €10m European Investment Bank loan to finance the next phase of its flagship MeyGen tidal array in the Pentland Firth. The company has applied to the Luxembourg headquartered institution for funding for its 6MW MeyGen Phase 1B, also known as Project Stroma. Construction of the €57m four-turbine array is scheduled for the autumn with full operations in 2018. Phase 1B is already backed with a €20.3m Horizon 2020 grant codenamed Demotide. The project is also the recipient of a €16.78m NER300 award originally allocated to Marine Current Turbines in 2012 for the defunct Kyle Rhea project."

"Last month the European commission granted the transfer of 17m from the Kyle Rhea project to Atlantis Resources' Meygen tidal project. MCT was acquired by Atlantis from Siemens AG in an all-share deal in July 2015. Following completion of the acquisition, Atlantis applied to the European commission, with the assistance of the member state, Scotland, to have this funding transferred. Atlantis' portfolio of Scottish tidal power projects currently includes Meygen (398MW), Brough Ness (100MW), Mull of Galloway (30MW) and Kyle Rhea (8MW)," That's in addition to the longer term potential plans for 450MW in India, 450MW in Indonesia and the smaller plans in Canada.

Also, now that they are connected to the grid, there is a regular income. I calculate using an average of 4.5MW, 18 hours a day operation, £300/MWh, 95% uptime, should provide annual income of about £8m.

Rhambo, while we cannot deny the possibility of a fund raising, Atlantis also received a 20m euro grant just 1 month ago, which theoretically puts cash in the bank.

Armingford, I believe Atlantis own the majority of the 400MW potential array. The early turbines have a strike rate of about £300/MWh, this will reduce to ~ £100-150 over time probably as the technology matures. Assuming 4.5MW for 18 hours per day, my current estimate is £300 x 4.5MW x 18 hours = ~£24k per day. The full 400MW installation perhaps 60 times this. I also recall there was a ~ £20m government grant in there somewhere. So hopefully, there is at least some income coming in now, perhaps £8m annual income on very limited turbine installations so far.
