How many times have I told him that he, and the other scoundrels, are dreamers who are buying on hope value and wishful thinking.

The excitement is over. Expect this to start a slow drift back down to 22p, however a huge rise in the gold price might give the sp some support. For years, certain mouthpieces have been predicting that the gold price will rocket. So far they have been wrong, but with the world's economies in a mess, perhaps the time for gold to shine is not far away.

Hot Air can mock, but all it does is make him look an even bigger chump than we already know he is.

I don't claim to be able to predict the future, other than sometimes getting it right about short term price movements for the sp, but I post links to articles about the bigger picture, e.g. energy derivatives, that affect the world economies and financial markets and over decades, that sort of reading has helped me to get in early on some big moves.

You get know who are the people who give worthwhile opinions. Here's a man who last week said this - "a large, inter-meeting rate hike from the Bank of England as soon as next week" - and it is looking as though he will be proved right.

I don't post those links to try to claim that I am the person with foresight or who has worked out what is likely to happen. I post with the aim having a bit of debate and hearing the views from other people on major topics that are likely to cause waves that might affect eventually us. That's all. I am not a Clever Dick, smart arse as Hot Air is - what did he says the other day - "News on the way". All he has to offer is worthless drivel, failed forecasts and mockery. A famous Spanish philosopher once said to avoid people like that (There was more to it that just that, but I can't find the whole quotation).

Matthew125 - I meant buying on the open market after the Open Offer closes. Sadly, I think that until we get positive news, the sp will drift lower. I am savagely attacked for saying it, but it does happen and not just to DELT. Prices drift lower as the excitement of the last bit of news fizzles out and it takes another announcement to lift it again. I'm sure that in the longer term it will be much higher - and that will be after we get the drilling results and news of wining new licences.

We've heard it too many times slimeball. No one believes you any more - no one who is sane and lives in the real world that is. Only delusioned dreamers and those with hidden agendas (hello johnnyy) will go along with your moronic theme of a rocket launch.

I hope I'm not banging this drum too loudly or too often, but regarding "I might do one or two top up in early .40's".

The other day I was thinking about one of my best gains - TLW. I first bought Tullow Oil at about 77p. It went up. I bought more at about 110p. It went up. This was a many years ago. I thought it would continue going up and I worked and saved and when I had a bit of cash, kept on buying up to about 350p. I sold at over 500p.

In later years I was buying more and more FLX shares as the price fell. I lost money.

I'm sure you get the point. Well, after that, it's your decision. Good luck whichever way you decide.

Correction - • for years there has been only ONE person on this board who has been consistently right with his forecasts for the sp - and that is FK1.

Remember that johhnnyy.

Another one who came on here and attacked FK1 was EarlOfAim. He was just like johnny - bullish on FLX, arguing with FK1, mocking and being abusive.

Where is he now?

EarlOfAim eventually skulked away with his tail between his legs after he lost a packet on FLX. He eventually learned that FK1 is ALWAYS right.

So, Johhnnyy " Can't remember a firm point" -that just proves your inability to comprehend and learn. The important points that you have forgotten are -

• for years there has been only person on this board who has been consistently right with his forecasts for the sp - and that is FK1.

• FK1 has always been right.

• Ignore FK1 at your peril.

• I learned that the hard way. If I had woken up sooner and realised that he was always right, then I wouldn't had lost so much on FLX. Thankfully I did wake up and I sold my entire holding at a price much higher that it is today, so his advice saved from a much bigger loss.

• every forecast by the dodgy slimeball, roly DARVO, Davey and others have been wrong. They are sitting big losses but refuse to admit it.

• it is sensible to take into account track record and to listen to people have always been right rather than listening to people who have always been wrong. QED.
