Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Aren’t you hanging your hat on the ML?
If not are there any other regulatory hurdles you see causing specific problems? I wasn’t aware of any that weren’t routine compliance once the ML is reapproved (if indeed it is)
I’m not as confident as you all about there being no need for a further raise which I can see occurring (if I am correct) in Q1. If it is coincidental upon the execution of the FSS contract and we have a positive outcome on the JR (ie that none of the 10 points raised are deemed to be sufficiently significant to warrant a redetermination) then I think we could confidently assume the SP will be someway north of where it is now and a raise of £20 million or so against a company with the prospects it has won’t be a bad thing at all.
Whilst all that seems fairly accurate there is the question of the next 18 months (or so) regarding cash flows vs outgoings as plans are made to scale up the business. I hope we can look forward to some more mundane RNSs that confirm we are still picking up new business in the cruise, renewables and general fabrication markets to tie us over. There were I think 4 contracts mentioned at the AGM for announcement shortly. These if announced will provide the stopgap revenues to ensure ongoing financial viability and mitigate the requirement for any near term placing. Fingers crossed for them this side of Christmas. GLA
There will be many investors that are new to this company and therefore inclined to sell for a modest profit. I have held these shares for over 10 years and been through the pain of many placements to get to this point. The Board and the management team have negotiated a very rocky track to survive and now show that the company can truly thrive. I am most happy for all the young men and women that this announcement means can look forward to a bright future. Well done to all at HARL and I now look forward to future announcements for the build of the storage facility and other major contract wins in the renewables sector. This has brought real meaning to the term "levelling up" and positions HARL as the new third force in British shipbuilding; I am confident they will deliver on time and on budget. This company is worth so much to the community in NI and the other communities in which it operates. I remain a committed investor and look forward to more great news about HARL in future
.....is still less than £20 million at the current SP. IMSL is worth a multiple of that to a third party even without the FSS.
It is also good to see the smaller contracts coming in as well in the background. I am expecting there to be some potentially significant construction / fabrication contracts in the renewables (wind) sector in Q4/Q1
LNG goes to the highest bidder. U.K. gov tried to seek long term supplies but cannot stomach the risk of saddling the taxpayer if prices fall. Needs domestic incentives to enable supply side but also not forgetting demand side management by all. We should import less as it has a larger co2 footprint. We do have supplies in UKCS but government should set sensible strike price for taxpayer and developer to give confidence. Gas is inevitably a transition fuel to get to net zero. Storing it makes perfect se sense. Gov has been myopic and they know it. This will happen I just don’t know exactly when but protesters haven’t a hope in hell of stopping it but they have done a good job holding it up to be fair
If it’s like the buffoons that purport to call themselves politicians over there this won’t be resolved for ages. They’d rather have a ruddy good argument then actually do anything that might be beneficial for the people. I’d ship them all off to Rwanda to see whether they can agree to split their differences before their allowed back. Way too many folk luxuriating in the benefits of political office and getting paid for not being where they should be in our softy liberal democracy. Righto that’s better
With no changes to TR1s I agree that it’s very confusing. My only thought is that an MM is holding a large chunk on behalf of a buyer but surely even that would need to be declared although I think certain MMs activity is below the radar. It must be of concern to HARLs management yet nothing has been said.
Until we have the RNSs that we have been informed will come it’s hard to see how we can recover.
