@VCB2,
Does it really matter given the nature of the business they are in. If their clients go short they are long underlying in the money if it goes north. Their clients are out of the money. If their clients go long well they hold the underlying so perfectly hedged.
Only good thing about 17.5% holdings is the speculative interest it shows in EDL.
@VCB2,
The market has already priced in dilution. The current price is diluted. ;p
RNS on 29th April stated the following:
""During 2019, the Company has also continued its marketing efforts to identify new customers for both its washed coal and fine coal, as well as maintaining existing relationships. Accordingly, with this funding, the Directors expect the Company to be in a position to boost both production and subsequent sales, thereby placing the Project in a position where it is initially self-sustaining, before turning cashflow positive during the next twelve months."
Will just leave this here... it's old and still interesting though...

Where you getting your information from?
With increasing production can't see this falling back much more. You never know though..... I live in hope lol
It was also due to expectations the company would fold so the price was heavily discounted back then. The funding saved the company hence, the reason for the dramatic rise.
Most of the selling took place 45 minutes into the open. That was followed by a wave of buying with a few with good timing getting in at 0.055 then reversals took place. My guess is that this will crawl back to the opening price. No reason for the sell off this morning... and indexes are still positive.... who knows....
Indexes are trading up today so would expect this to start to climb from here... who knows...
Hazard a guess hedging on the short side after taking a long position. Certainly that's the smart thing to do as the upside has "high potential" while the low side is negligible. Therefore, once the stock adds value you close the hedge taking an outright long. If you've got balls you'll do it earlier and maximise the return.
Assuming they are shortening. Clients will have mixed views. Some will go short, some long. Some will hedge. They hold the underlying. In the end it's trading on leverage and derived from the underlying. So what? Take a view, take a punt, Big deal!
That's fine.
@larrygrayson,
It depends on if the price still goes south. My expectation is that in the absence of any positive news the price will drift south. I would then get an average which is comfortable even post-consolidation. On consolidation I would be expecting to get more.
So, it wasn't a fantasy when you first bought in off plan. Now that there is coal production it is a fantasy?
Agree. Anything gross would be heavily discounted on current coal prices even with vertical integration from coal face to projected power plant.
A quote from larrygrayson on dropping the price to 0.03 made on Friday 3rd May at 11:47 am.
"Not yet @noadvice but it would be a good call methinks."
Wasn't long ago that larrygrayson said he was all in for 0.03 so he's doing his best to drop the SP. Problem is it's not working larry... try harder please... :p
"In terms of economics a 100MW plant could realise revenues of around $7m per month or $84m per annum,and over the projected 30 year plant life this amounts to over $2.5 billion dollars.To put those figures in to context with Edenvilles current market cap of just over £4m there are some serious upside numbers clearly visible. ..."

This was takeover talk back in 2014. Probably what made Larrygraysons excited back in the day.
OK with Larry's efforts to reduce sentiment as looking to get more on the dips. SP seems to be consolidation at these levels. Carry on Larry.... give it your best shot... lol
