Oversubscribed placing to raise £350m at 500p - that tells me there was lots of interest in the market at £5 a share.
The bond issue, I may be wrong but I think I read somewhere that it was cancelled early having already received interest for £175 of the £200m.
Why cancel early? Obvious answer - interest dwindled or did another option present itself, an option that may be better for the wider group of business participants, shareholders , employees etc.
Anyway , got a feeling we are going to find out pretty soon.... gla

My top up was 50,000 at 2.09+ if nothing else it lowers my average but still a relatively small holder for now.

Why would an investor pay a 25% premium for the opportunity to invest in a company via a private placing rather than buying on the open market?
Question 2
What’s stopping the directors participating in the same private placing as described above?

They Bought over 172 million shares at circa two pounds a share.... I think they see a profit here....hope they treble their money.....gla

A great opportunity for the company and us, the shareholders..... I remember this being over 0.5 p a wee while ago and it still had promise then .... looking forward to further announcements.
