Laughed at Craig re my driving...a hint for maybe some: Today, as all days, I will drive this car according to the System of Car Control, a system or drill, each feature of which....blah blah blah. The car I set course record on, was exempt from speed limits on public roads, and on a safe, open road, it was h e l l for leather, taking corners on 4 wheel slides, in and out of roundabouts as if they werent there...it was fun. Three test scores, and my total score when added for the 3 and then divided by 3, gave me a result of 99% ( didnt signal when leaving en empty motorway onto a slip road exit...cost me points......lol

Good lad...look....listen...assess (twice) think about it...if entry on its past couple of years performance looks ok...then...aye...maybe a good one to TIE up some cash in ...reap the divvies while the SP is bouncing above and below your entry. I'm waiting for SHELL to sort itself out before committing, same with Centrica....that one to me is either getting slaughterd by shorters, or their business plan is shot to pieces and having problems retaining good volumes of customers. There are a few like that on the FTSE 100..... walk on eggshells when its like current situation. :)

Dolphin did the original wetroom...years down the line it leaked..Dolphin had gone bust and restarted under Dolphin 2010 say...old lot were bankrupt, warranties out the window. Cowboys appeared..did the cabinet and robbed the wife blind...I shut up cos she was happy. It was a toss up, fix the leak or a rip out of the cowboys work and start from scratch on restoring to wetroom. Easy option first for a fix....I might be dead and buried by the next time it leaks..... lol

SInce you came on board, you keep doing the same thing, buy a reasonable stock and if its starts to drift down you bail and lo and behold it eventually gets to a point on a rise where you would have been making good money. Stop panicking !....If you pick a decent stock at a decent entry, even though it slips back, the good ones always make ground. In todays climate, day trading to me is wohay... crazy times, hence I am cash, same as some of the other posters, and for same reasons as them. Check the stocks graphs since 2008 crash...see how they are generally running...last year stocks went to highs they havent been able to get back to as yet... so maybe still on a slow downturn while the big boys are cashing in as the not so clever are chancing their arm for the quick buck????? Only a thought

Read your shower guide DT. First and foremost, the first check I did after useless plumber attended yesterday, was to remove the spray head from the hose. allowed the hose to make contact with tray. Turned on water supply and flooded the tray/waste as normal. Let it run like that for about 3/4 hr and switched off water. While the water had been running, the tray and outlet drain would have been under 1/4" of water. Checked kitchen...bone dry, so tray base, and seal around drain were watertight. Next step was to check verticals and sprayed them in turn for about 10 mins total. Checked kitchen.... water coming through...so verticals and where glass side panels meet wall are prime suspect. Family friend, a plumber, attended and got briefed. He checked the seals and agreed that they should be cleared and redone. He Removed all ovious silicone and applied a solvent to demolish that which was out of eye view. He is returning tomorrow to allow solvent to slaughter the silicone remnants...can see them curling and now ovious. He will totally cleanse, then re-seal. Leave for 24 hrs and then hit the lot with the spray head...check kitchen for signs of leaks... if ok.. bingo...if leaking...strip down the shower cabinet and start re-erection from fresh start, with all contact surfaces spotles before erecting and sealing. Shower tray sits on a tiled wet room floor.. with cabinet sitting on mid point of shower base uprights. That means a seal is required there. The ones who put it in at my poor old wifes request were a shower of cowboys. Hopefully tomorrows efforts will result in a seal and life can go on again

Family member sent another family member who has plumbing business....he said exactly the same asa you...stage 1...clean/reseal.... stage 2...if that doesnt do the trick...dismantle, clean, reassemble. He scraped out the sisible seal, applied a sealant dissolver, and be back tomorrow to clean out and reseal....stage 1. lets hope its does the job

In fairness to the guy...I disconnected the spray head from the flexible shower hose, let water run directly onto the shower tray for about an hour.....not a sign of water.... so cabnet to tray/cabinet to walls is prime suspect for leak area. ANy advice on sealing areas like that?

Hope you're all making money...I'm busy trying to trace water leak from shower cabinet thats giving the kitchen ceiling underneath it a free wash.... guy came out with fibre probe, small hole in ceiling then in with the fibre scope....couldnt see a thing..... next thing about 1.5 sq. ft. of ceiling is in his bucket, and still couldnt trace the pot when there leak is originating from. His solution:... dismantle shower cabinet, reseal and refit cabinet !!!!...... he forgot to include new ceiling that now has a couple of gaping inspection holes !!

Lhasa apso...we had previously had a wee pom, Monty, who was the wifes dog for 12 years...she wasa broken hearted when she lost him and was adamant there would be no other dogs...had prior to that had a big black lab, Lucy, a beauty of her breed....had dogs all our married life.

Wee dog was given to a friend who lives nearby, nearby, but not that close that Darcy would see me or me see her .... she desreved better than this old sod....I had actually got her thinking she would be company for the wife if I fell off the perch...funny how life turns out (!)

Easier said than done DT...constant flashes of happy days and the eyes fill up.... I now refer to those teary episodes to friends and family as.....that bloddy hay fever hitting again....watery eyes :)

Me and my old sweetheart...started together at 14...married at 17 ( she was still 16) two boys, one with 2 sons now, other with 3 daughters...wife and I had 55 years of happy marriage and then she left.... cancer is an unforgiving beast. So yes, looking forward to Coventry...new faces..new thoughts, maybe even a new outlook on life after that....lets make sure we all enjoy it, in whatever way suits each individual of us best..... and Craig.... you might have fun driving down there... 1971 I set a record at a particular driving teaching course, which to the best of my knowledge, has never been beaten.... be glad I dont drive a Maserati lol

As contestants on some of the tv shows say...you're only here once....go fo it. ANd that applies to life style as well, if you have enough tucked away, stuff knocking your pan in for some ingrate of an employer and go spend some living time.. YOLO rules !!!! lol
