Directors are making money hand over fist with the remuneration handouts they vote in for themselves. The new girl on the block did well out of RBS before she bailed out, selling off her shares at the £20+ mark, weeks before it crashed....when you see them selling off £1.8 millions worth, it makes you wonder why???....the taxman must have been rubbing his hands when he saw that sale go through, so what was her idea when she dumped 25% of her holding....a few hundred £k, yes, tax reasons to sell...but a whopping £1.8 million.

First to bail out with sale of 610,000 shares sold on 16 May @ 302.48........she did the same when she ran from Fred the Shred prior to the 2008 crash. Not bad...£1.8 million in the bank....wonder which bank she put it in? I dont think their credit card thing has much to do with the drop.....when the USA released their economic figures, all the blue chippers went into freefall...a lot of cashing up was done while prices were still relatively high....the rich club looking after themselves again and leaving the drones to sort it out.

Too soon...bid at 273+...which is up 12p since noon yesterday....but I'm not complaining

Can only really affect AIM shares directly...the FTSE is worked out by the SETS system, and the only ones who can affect the SETS system are those who are putting in those daft single figure trades. Trading houses are playing big time with algos that work out how many, at what sequence, and value they need to fire in to affect an SP....all manipulation by those in the shorting game mainly.

At 1030 today...had a look at the latest trades....the selling of a 9 volume was not isolated: Latest trades for VH...of the 50 listed, 27 of them were for volumes worth £1k or over, the remainder under £1k in value included volumes of 4, 8, 13, 15, all of which would not have covered trading costs...just fired in as sells to drive the price down...algos are looking at number of sells v buys and adjust SP accordingly...ratbags !!

274.40.....all the way down from a nice day high of 28, which had taken it over last Fridays closing price....darn it.

That the FED rate rise is the cause of the upset. Market loves to over react to anything...any excuse to throw a spanner in our works 😡 Things might settle for tomorrow and we start the climb all over again...it was looking so good too....not to worry (!)

Above yesterdays 276.9 and things will be moving the right way

when trades like this are getting listed, trying to force the price down: 10:20 278.20p 9 £25 Sell AT a vlume of 9 shares sold for £25 ...doesnt even cover trading costs...simply thrown into the system to screw things up

Henderson Global and Wellington Management are between them, holding 2.32% of the shares in circulation in a shortings position, from 309, 306 levels, so they'd have made a few bob on that fall to 274.......if the rise in Virgin continues, common sense says they'll close their shorts

Continues...just need the two shorters to close their positions and it shoud fly 😎

Higher than it opened...good sign.

Credit Suisse, Goldman and Investec are all quoting 340 -390....maybe one of these days they'll get it right (!).

10p from last Wednesday... -3.6%...merely a flesh wound :)

Most definitely with growth based on this: with difference calculated from 8 June 2012 to close on Friday RBS +30% LLOY +153% BARC +11% STAN ............... minus 85%.... HSBA +27% BNC +29% CBG +126%

Not bad...71p a pop profit, and gold on a nice rise at 1262.25...might do better?
