Well the last 30 mins has been interesting. Soon moved ourselves off the 300p mark and look to go green with some US support.

Hope for a strong rebound from this SP to show us where we really should be . Especially with the poo which has settled.

And I would say holding shares in a global oil and gas producer is the safest investment you could make right now. Especially with the upside potential here.

The sp still won't go below 300p tomorrow whatever happens to the price of oil. I dare say it will repeat what we have seen over the last week bouncing around this mark until the trading statement.

The oil market has adopted well to the Russia price cap too.

Even if brent price hovers around the 80dollar mark it means the economy will be stronger so therefor more oil consumed. The US inventories are low right now too , and with lower oil prices less small companies (ft source) will be operational due to the limited profit margins so even better for hbr. We have plenty of upstream projects going online in the near future too which are global.

It's fine , if big institutions aren't going to buy then surely that means even more big dividends paid out to us holders ? The new windfall tax doesn't even affect our profits at the moment so therefor less debt and more massive profit being accrued right now. The Humber Acorn project is now beginning to proceed which will offset the windfall tax further. Russia oil capped and Opec limiting its production. Brent around the 85 dollar mark and gas price through the roof. It's win win win for us.

Why would the UK do that at 100% profit for India? That will male it 104dollars per barrel way above the retail price. Pretty sure we aren't that daft

Y11 , you need to do more research. Russia can't just up its output because they are seriously short of vessels in order to maintain their current production. Especially now they are limited to supplying Aisia which obviously isnt on Russias doorstep. Going by this mornings FT article Russia will be 700,000 to 1.5mln barrels short a day due to the lack of ships. Apparently Russia have managed to grab a further 23 ships but these are over 15 years old and will need to be scrapped in the near future. These have also cost 16billion dollars so its not something they can easily fund. Especially with the discounted oil they are selling. It is expected the Russian supply will fall further in early 2023.

Brilliant , now Opec will hopefully announce a supply cut on Sunday.

Yeah exactly, if the price dips below 300p then buy more. Eventually when the economy improves here whether it be 1 or 5 years time , the windfall tax won't be here anymore and this SP will fly. Oil and gas rule the world and we are now invested at such a great price in a company with such great assets. Just hold on to those shares. Simple.

It doesn't even drop enough to top up ! Could do with 299p again ! This sp is stuck like a broken record right now !

In good ol FTSE fashion we dont get any sort of rally whatsoever , yawn. Next stop , the EU Russia price cap. Something has to set this share alight surely !

Those de ramping waiting for the 250p have got egg on their face ;)

So now we are officially out the FTSE100 , natural gas and Oil looking seriously bullish after J Powells speech, we are in for a massive day tomorrow.

Another nice positive day , hopefully with the ftse 100 relegation tomorrow we will see a golden rise ! even more so with positive US news tonight and China. Its all looking real good and the doubts about poor Brent Crude performance are behind us.

Its not as if we have HBR's valuations wrong when all the investment banks have valued this recently at twice of what the sp is now.

I suppose its an easy earner at the moment for traders who are effectively taking the share buy back money themselves. Im sure that will change soon , maybe tomorrow once we are officially in the ftse 250.
