Well all i have learnt is that the government are against you , if you fit the working class profile , fit , healthy and have a trade, the government will strangle you and milk you as much as they can where it is literally the survival of the fittest.
You wont have a choice when to stop working , doesnt matter how much you earn you will work until you drop because they will forever move the goalposts through fake crisis like covid , the cost of living manipulation with cost of assets (cars) , energy and mortgages. If you want a child they will tax that too with cost of child care "inflation" , as Enter Shikari have written , "There is a price on your head" .

Even when a nice little earner comes along in energy the government will also milk that too for no benefit other than their own ........

The share price doesnt take into account assets or revenue , its all about free cash flow and profit (i bailed on rolls royce thinking it would take them years to pay off the 3 billion debt , however i was wrong as their revenue growth and profit have been forecast to more than double this year so therefore saw a 50% gain on trading update release ) .

All i know with NEX is that their margins have been hit massively. I dont know why they paid a divi as it seems those are pointless too. (as just experienced with Harbour)

Iv sold at 270p. Think the SP is going back down to the lows we have recently seen , around the 260p/250p mark until we get results on May 10th.

Taken from the financial times. With this sort of comment it isnt hard to see why the share is what it is.

I think traders see the obvious shares as a target to milk dry. where they buy a share at a low price with say £5mill of shares , and then with any rise they just sell the profit (this is an obvious portfolio fav for any buyer so therefor sees more activity which the traders can make their fortunes) . This therefor keeps the SP low until some news which creates massive buying which is then when the traders sit on the shares they own for the forseeable future.

Harbour Energy which iv followed for the last 6 months , thought it was an obvious safe share (eventhough the WFT) , low debt , fantastic 9p dividend twice a year and generous £200mill share buy backs, yet after every rise it keeps getting traded back to the lows, even after good news.

With Nex there is no good news, carrying the burden of massive debt and risky future.

I wonder how much debt we would of paid off by the next trading update in less than a month (10th May)

I know , I got caught out too as iv been on nightshift and slept through until 10am dammit. Ah well trying to go long with this , or atleast stay in without selling until xmas.

I dont get this game , with ex divi tomorrow theres sellers who sell at closing before ex divi , now why?

The SP used the fly through these ranges from 270p through to 320p , literally in the space of a few days. Not the case anymore unfortunately.

Well Merryl Lynch and Cridit Agricole have both sold 100% of their shares in HBR totally £32million. Thats some serious selling pressure gone from this share now. Onwards and upwards hopefully !

The EIA have just announced that they forecast Brent to average at $85 this year , so this news bodes really well for us. They also say that the price of oil will stabilise so hopefully thats the last of the volatile markets. The peak oil price is expected for June , with US motor travel rising by 3.8% so far compared to last year. 2023 demand is set to increase by 1.4million bpd and 1.8million bpd in 2024. (bring on those better hedges for 2024 and also being debt free) . Those shorts better run for cover ;-)

Well as you say the EPL has been planned for years prior to this , i tend to agree. Also through some research on Fbook , simply by searching Harbour Energy i found a link where employees have stated the job cuts have been planned for a long time too , not because the EPL but its because of the merger, which does make sense. I do think that due to the capitalist nature of this country, oil and gas is still made up with mechanisms to make the industry a true money earner. Im still yet to find out if that mechanism is through owning shares though so we will see but for certain the government/treasury are milking 99.9% of the public through tax on oil and gas. (the system is basically unfair and 99.9% against us).

Just a guess here but i am aware that Harbour got a great deal with the acquisition with PMO and its assets , so i wonder if the government lost out in that deal at all? so now they are trying to retrieve a lot of that loss back?

The big problem is the petrol stations are still charging well over the odds, now how are the government failing to sort this out? If the government focused on this then they could remove the EPL over night as fuel costs would be back to £1.20 a liter and there would be no backlash from the public.

It seems BP and Shell are the major winners here , yet they are the largest polluters. The massive kick in the teeth is that BP are one of the major beneficiaries in the latest approved Carbon Capture project as well.
